sorry, I'm just trying to understand the whole D2 scope, I come from Tarkov, so I'm very centric when it comes to spending time doing a raid, quest, etc. I want risk vs reward, but I also want to spend my time focusing on the highest possible loot quests and efficiency.

If you're going for pure meta when it comes to gaining loot, it's got to be Countdown vs Summit. Both PvE.
the former is quantity over quality, the latter is reversed.

On why the DZ is a thing: it's another mode. Some people enjoy it, others don't. A lot of div2 is just playing what you find fun and not going purely for the "absolute best thing ever".

I woudln't say it's much better than Tarkov, but I would say that it's got several similarities. Heartland seems to be adopting some of the tarkov concepts. The cheater thing right now, you're right on. It's why I'm taking a break from the game and enjoying this one. I'm just trying to understand the entire scope and concept of D2. There's a lot of areas I'm seeing they could have improved on based on my experience with Tarkov and made the game a little more dynamic and interesting. But, not every game is Tarkov. Heartland though seems to be moving toward that direction based on the trailers I've seen. Having energy and hydration depletion while in a raid is a start. I also heard them say that you lose everything you have on you if you die, and that's also a good thing, it creates tension, stress, etc. forces people to make decisions to keep going or get out.

Heartland is the PvEvP one, Resurgence has PvE and PvP, it's basically a mobile version of div2.

With how expensive phones have gotten over the years (looking at high end phones) it's not as much a question of affordability, but moreso a question of preference and availability.
A high end phone can easily cost you the same as a PS5 + TV. However you're more likely to already have a phone ("don't you guys have phones?") that is capable of running most mobile games.

Ubisoft branching into a division mobile game allows more people to get to know the universe and they might become interested in playing other titles on other platforms.

There's an argument to be made that tencent had a little hand in pushing for a mobile game since a larger portion of their wealth is from the mobile industry, but that would be speculation.

In general, I have a disdain for mobile gaming aswell. Not in the same sense as TTUVAPOR, but for the monetization of it as it has become predatory.

I tested Resurgence, it's cool, it looks great and the gameplay is much akin to the PC version, it has a nice feel to it - but that's where I stopped. It's too heavy a mobile game for me and I just felt an urge to play Div 1 tbh, but it's preference.

If anyone is literally sitting in their dwelling playing a game on a mobile device that is already on a console or pc, makes zero sense to me. Handheld gaming has been a stable in the industry since the beginning as it's a way to branch out to the more casual gamers. It has and will always be a medium to bridge the gap between heavily investing into a gaming platform and not having one at all. Smartphones then started to phase out other handheld gaming devices, because of their capability - and how everyone has one. A handheld game never really meant to replace other games, but to draw you in.
