Hi guys, how depressing are microtransactions in this game? Played a little bit at launch same with D1 but never stayed. Finished watching some video on Destiny 2 (I always try to get into it but last 1-3 days) and was sad about just how nickle and diming the game seems to be for less and less stuff for the plaayers. sounds nice, yea I've played on and off for destiny, I liked the power feeling and the guns felt cool but also I played on PC so I cant get the good vibrations lol. But could never stick, the lore is hidden away in books on another tab, theres no aim/real campaign, it seems like the quality of the game swings violently on a pendulum. 50 dollar expansion, 15 dollar season pass, 20 dollar dungeon keys to play dungeons that are part of the season/expac but arent just to charge you??, on top of that almost every cool cosmetic is in the shop

good news is it seems TD2 is pretty cheap to get into even with the expac. Definetly one of the people who liked the atmosphere of winter NY over how WAshington dc but also I havent played enough

plus it was just boring as hell

when i played it last the season was set in this place that was just big rooms connected by a hallway and you had daily tasks that involved running in circles around them shooting the same 2 dudes to make the same boss show up. every single day.

Wasn't exactly that "oh Traveler not being here is bad," but more like "She's taking the one and only reason we're still alive at the time we need it most." so we went and killed her first because loot

Shop your lobbies for heroic. Inspect the builds and take SHD levels into account. I do this all the time, I'll just leave wait 30 seconds and matchmake again into a different lobby. Might take 3-4 tries but the few minutes I spend usually saves me a failed run.

Due to the strange way scaling works, Challenging Countdown gives near Heroic quality loot and is a heck of a lot faster.
