It's unlikely, unless you have friends who recently started. Most players are in endgame. You can call for backup if you're struggling but whoever answers will likely just rampage straight through everything.

You'll be scaled up to almost theirs. But since they likely have some sort of build together and since your leveling you've just got whatever on, they will be quite a bit stronger

You can avoid the lock the same way as Keener (technician Faraday cage protects, remote pulse is safest skill to use since it won't hurt you if hacked). I emptied a few magazines in that hunters face as he can up to me, sadly it didn't do much. Was worried it might break his scripting and make him kill me after all, but he just ran off.

I see guys with +20% and it makes me so jealous. That's a crazy nice buff on each weapon plus skills and extra armour. I'm only +6% but I'm working on it.

each expertise level requires a certain number of proficiency levels to reach the next, so earn proficiency levels on as many things as you can to up your expertise level. but a piece also has to be proficient (proficiency level 10) to be able to make use of those expertise levels and upgrade it.

the +20% is additive with other sources of weapon damage (or skill damage or whatever) so it's not quite as big a bonus as it seems - on a full red build you'll only get about an 8% actual increase from expertise 20

Honestly I love the expertise system. Before I would make a loadout and get it perfect and that would be that. Now I'm always trying to try a new gun with it or remix it somehow to try something new.

I made a max DoT loadout that I'm having fun with at the moment: 4 x Ongoing Directive, Vile, Pestilence, all red except for some status. The vile gives the bleed some bite, the hollowpoint ammo makes the Pestilence hit pretty nicely. It's just fun multi-DoTing everything I hit and the damage is pretty strong. All just for expertise on a bunch of gear I wasn't using.

I really hate getting to the 1st boss of Manning National Zoo when it's invaded... cause once you're in the boss arena, you have a little bit of wiggle room when it comes to the mortar. But that first little section, you either gotta run around constantly getting staggered, get hit by a mortar (and lose all your armor if you're running all red cores like me), or just cower in the tunnel leading there and wait for them to funnel in.

"healing them" so you are using heal hive and turret, that's why you got kick

Issue is game does kind of a poor job at explaining it so people have to learn it the hard way (like you are basically, at mercy of people just kicking you without a word), but hunters at extraction can hack your deployed skills so unless you place a hive out of LoS, they can hack it for example and use it against your team
A T6 skill build player with say turret drone getting hacked can literally wipe the entire team at the arguably far hardest place of the run, most people won't even notice hostile skills to kill them so they'll just die

And something like a turret/drone is by default kind of a no-go as it by definition has to have LoS to even do damage (otherwise it's not useful at all), but then it can get hacked

This is just next to that people might consider it "suboptimal" or "slowing you down" which is another issue and more subjective

There's a fine line between people being elitist and dickish for no reason and also just wanting people to pull their own weight and ideally not set arbitrary obstacles in a somewhat hard gamemode (hard as in, it can still easily fail often unless people have at least decent builds and focus), in an environment where some of the hardest enemies are whether you can even get a run started without it bugging out, or whether you get DC'd before it ends

As I said, if you don't agree with their notion, host your own groups and set your own rules that way, but I think it helps to have some self reflection and try to understand why they're doing that
(but I also understand there's often a herd mentality where they don't accept anything out of the box and are dickish about it like a "not my issue", still for random people playing with other random people it's just easier to control things that way and guarantee success more than just taking a gamble)

Practice? It’s not even the same raid?… the only thing it’s good for is learning the maps, and even then you’d be better off on normal to have a chance at the exotics. Discovery exists because people wanted a matchmaking option…. Learning in discovery is a waste since you have to “learn” again when it comes to the mechanics….

Definitely start off with Dark Hours. Go to #td2-build-advice > 📌 > spreadsheet > builds and make the Standard Red DPS setup.

Dark Hours your first clear will take closer to 30-45 if the leader knows what they're doing.
you can go a lot faster than that once you have the mechanics down.
