These crashes are getting ridiculous at this point.

Get in game, play for a few minutes crash.

Get in game, do an emote crash.

And this is not mentioning stuttering or anything of that sort. Has anyone figured out why the game crashes? Is it due to Windows versions?

Nah, I started experiencing issues with DX12 the moment I started the game like a year ago. That's turned off. Despite having a graphics card which is supposedly capable of DX12.

I did some finagling yesterday, turning overlays off, turning overlays on. And for some reason turning off the overlay for Ubisoft for me worked? I don't know exactly your mileage may wary but from 2PM yesterday to around 10PM I had no issues with playing the game, so give that a try I guess. shrug

can confirm messing with the ubi overlay can yield surprisingly strange results. it didn't change how or when the game crashes for me, but it did allow me to play with 1000hz polling rate without the game failing to update my mouse movement... but only for about a week before I had to lower it back down to 500hz for it to be compliant again.

Yesterday I did this "unknown activity" on the map. I had to go into a mall and then I encountered what I believe to be a rogue agent NPC. I was fighting him and suddenly he was gone. My mission was still to neutralise him. I backed off and did a supply drop event, went back to that mission area and to the room I encountered the agent in, but now he doesn't spawn. What should I do?

i need someones help please, everytime i try and jump on lately i have problems with my FPS in game being crazy low. now before you say potato PC i have an RTX3080, i9900k, 32gb ram so no its not my PC, most of the time if i can start the game and it works i get 150-240FPS with all setting on ULTRA, but since the last update i'll start the game and i get like 30FPS i've tried everything. and it only happens in my Native resolution i can use any other and my FPS is fine but no0 not my Native resolution someone help pls

I have the same problems, only thing I switched out was a better PSU. In the menus and settings its smooth, once I try to look around it gets real choppy. Showing I'm getting around 90fps but when I look side to side it feels like a stop motion video. Updated drivers and everything. Only thing I seen was the power mode for the pc but even trying different modes it's still the same. Played for months up until the resident evil event ended.

I don't see the bios being the issue on this one, but it could be the same issues we've been seeing with some windows updates. Are you running the game in Dx11 or Dx12 ?

I was running in Dx11 but tried Dx12 and still the same issue. I've changed that setting after trying to run around the HQ and even fully reset PC each time I switched

This is the only ubisoft game I play so I don't know if it could be the launcher. I do have the ubi overlay active as well

does anyone else get a blindingly bright white light when they exit the map and go back to the game? It happens with 100% repeatability for me in the Liberty's Call safe house...though it happens in all parts of the game, I can 100% make it happen there. It also happens when at the white house and I stand near the Helicopter and look in the direction of the sun.

not really, there's been a windows update causing crashes mostly on Dx12 but also on Dx11 ... I've had many players fix it uninstalling the update to get a older version of it, and also some were able to fix it just by updating their windows

I just finished the two missions and stronghold to go from t1 to t2, completed the stronghold and i am still at t1. I unlocked the workbench and recipes, but am not sure how to upgrade my tier. @left swan Still happening, I just verified files and it worked until it forced windowed the game then just closed itself. On task manager it said program not responding. I also had an error showing me that I was at 60% ram usage and it force quit the game. Running 16gb at 3000mhz and this is the only game that it happens. I have also put in a lot of hours previously and don't know why it's not working now.

It fixes itself when I quit out ubisoft and division 2 but it'll kick me showing I lost connection to servers or just freeze the game until I force stop.

I can move through menu no problem, it shows I have over 100 fps still but when I go to move and run its just a stop and go with my screen every second.

I got 6 Delta errors in one the tomb run. My internet is good and i never expierenced something like this before. I got a few of these this week but never so many in this short period of time. Is it because of the new windows update or are the ubi servers broken ? i could always rejoin my session and finish the mission. I dont have any other internet problems, twitch was running without problems the whole time. Is there a fix for this ?

To be specific, i get mostly delta 03, i think one delta 05 and one Echo 06 error. Internet is fine, dont see where the problem is. Yesterday i played like 6 Hours or so without one Error. I will come back later this day. If anyone has a fix or help for this i would greatly apreciate it.

looking at previous messages I see others also have the same issue, I get random crashes lately, and many times even my whole computer would crash and restart itself; I have Core Temp running and cpu never gets above 75c gpu never gets that high and i've done all the typical level 1 tech tips like verifying files, uninstalling and reinstalling, updated drivers, changing the settings in compatibility tab, lowering graphics, yadda yadda; I might try to downgrade the nvidia driver to an older one to see if that fixes it, in case a newer driver is messing things up; rtx2060 btw

at first I thought it was just my computer, so i checked all the components by running tests and it all came back clean; i'm able to play other games for hours at a time no problem, but div 2 is only one that crashes

even after the checks I dusted out whole pc , reseated ram, reapplied new thermal paste on cpu, etc. although the paste was still pretty wet and there wasn't much dust anyway

it may be showing up in the applications tab under warning, that's where the error logs itself whenever I crash my GPU driver ( usually alt-tabbing too much )

I will try it, but it is not logical to me; i've had the same configuration for a while, then a particular game starts crashing randomly.. very verrrryyyy small chance in my experience that an update will fix the issue unless the update specifically addresses it, or if in fact it's actually due to a new nvidia driver being incompatible now with the old setup, which is why I was going to revert to a previous driver

If you look into it, those KB's are also available for the 1909 version of windows. Look I've researched enough on this stupid crash issue in the past few weeks, If you don't feel like trying my troubleshoots feel free to ignore them 100%

KB4598242 seems to be the correct update to have, this fixed my issue and many other players ( and friends ). The whole reasoning behind having 20H2 is just to be sure every required update is in to be able to receive KB4598242 and have it properly working

it could totally not be related to what you're experiencing, but we gotta try something to rule out what can or can't be the issue

and if you look those KB's up in the update catalog you will find this : Windows 10, version 1903 and later. That is for all of those KB's

Fragile Armor Directive is glitched. I just used 3 armor kits back to back to back and it still showed -1 Armor. My healer hive is also glitched...on my healer build it just gave out all 36 charges to 2 players within about 2-3 seconds.

I haven't had any increase in crashing since the update. I can tell you that DX12 is pure trash. I average at most 3 random crashes per week now, and those crashes don't even create a Window Event in the Event Viewer. No change since this update. If I turn on DX12, it may be 30 minutes, it may be 4 hours...but it's going to crash.

I had 16GB, my usage capped out at 12GB whenever play Division 2. After upgraded to 32GB, it raised to 17-19GB usage for Division 2.

@weak plover i don't play the game or shooters period with a controller, but i do have a dualsense controller that works just fine for me on other games. the movement felt weird at first with the modded ds4 that works with the dualsense, but i fixed that by playing around with the deadzone/anti-deadzone/joystick related settings

I never broke a 360 controller, my original one from like 2004 still works. Never broke a ps1/2/3/4/5 controller, gamecube, N64, dreamcast, sega, all my controllers still work great, xbox one? For the second Iron Horse raid in a row I'm not able to pick up the keys. The key boxes always show as open, with no key to collect. It means I'm not able to receive a Ranvenous. Also, for the last two IH raids the loot box at the end always shows as open with no interaction possible. I now have to fast travel to DC and back to get the box as being interactable. Can someone please advise?

@kind oxide the giant box at the end of raids is also like that for me back when I was playing, not open, but couldn't interact w/ it to open, don't know how it is now since I haven't played in awhile. I needed to ask someone in the group to stay behind so that I could FT back and forth, sometimes I needed to log in and out. As for the keys, could be a reset issue, try going to the raid pilot and see if u can reset ur raid on ur session. Its also possible that the problem lies w/ the person who's hosting, somehow its not syncing with u when u join them. Just spitballing. Maybe host the next raid urself and see if that works.

Using the normal connection, try to do a ping on something like ubisoft.com with the "-t" flag for continuous. Let it run for a minute or two and check if there's packet loss. "Ctrl + C" to cancel it. @sly quartz

Keep having forced game shutdowns while using game capture on PC. Sucks cause I have stuff I want to make videos on but can't, since the game can't stay open for 3 minutes while having OBS running. I know this was an issue a while ago, which apparently got fixed (or so I had heard). Everything worked fine until about a couple days ago.

I know I can swap to display capture, and the game won't crash. However, the recording comes out to all of 4fps, which is not pleasant to watch. Unfortunate, since it has more to do with EasyAnti-Cheat than the div2 game client, but still kinda frustrating for PC people.

Note that I said forced game shutdowns, not crashes. I've never been prompted to send a crash log with any shutdown, and very rarely ever is a crash log generated. When the game does crash naturally, it always prompts me with "Do you want to send a crash log" (and I always say yes, since it can only help), but it never prompts me with these.

in my screen shot i have 5 events, 2 with eventid 18 which i'm pretty sure is whole system rebooted when i played TD2

i checked google to see if this is common in my cpu/gpu setup, apparently quite common because i overclock (I didn't but overclock happens by default for ryzen5000 series with their motherboards)

so i disable some overclock settings in my bios, no more such issues, TD2 never cause eventid18 anymore

for DX12, sometimes the game reacts funny, especially with overlay. Didn't happen when I moved to RTX3000 series but it is problematic for my GTX1000

hello everyone, so i can't play the divison 2 anymore cause i have a lot of stuttering like every 5 seconds, every time the game goes from 60fps to 50fps and the game lags, i have tried it on 144fps and then it goes to 130 and lags really hard, i have even try playing on 30 fps but it has the same issue it goes to 20fps and lags, every time an npc spawn, an explosion goes off or i launch a drone it lags over and over again, i have tried with DX12 on and off, i have tried with third party programs for ram optimization, i have tried with the overlays of uplay and nvidia turned off and nothings seems to work, i have reinstalled the game 2 times and the drives 2 times as well, i have no idea what to do now, i have a 2070 super, i7-9700 and 32gb of ram.

Lol, honestly, it never fails. Got a silent crash to desktop. Checked updates, sure enough that cursed 20H2 has another update. Install it, and now smooth sailing again. It looks like crash isn't due to your graphic or the machine. something is impeding - They don't have ETA on the fix apparently. Not much we can do - You can test it by just staying on the login screen, within every 5-10min. the game client stop responding.

I played the whole afternoons with the global event active and no crash, after finish dinner, when i come up to my pc, ubisoft connect auto restart to update and then the game keep auto turn from fullscreen to small windows and stuck there after i enter ingame for 1-2 minutes, i checked my Task manager and it show me that the Division2.exe is Not responding. Yup its every time the server tries to update achievements, hence the consistent crash cycle.

No they dont, achievements are strictly a ubisoft connect stat tracker with a ubisoft connect reward.

As per patch notes for Ubi Connect they supposedly fixed a bug where achievements would sometimes default to English rather than Korean and now the game cant find achievement descriptions and crashes lmao.

Its not the same issue. The 9th of march crashes were caused by a problem with the windows updates interfering, or thats whats been theorised. This crashing incident is seemingly due to a ubisoft connect issue.

@lone zealot I have an RTX3090 and can run it at Ultra. Keep in mind that Ultra isn't everything maxed out. Most things are, but some are just HIGH. When they fixed DX12, I went to Ultra. I used to run DX11 and HIGH settings. I normally stay above 120fps

That's what I'm saying, folks r blaming the launcher, but even after an attempt it didn't do anything. If ur game crashed b/c the launcher crashed, that's 1 thing, but it doesn't seem like the launcher is crashing, just the game.

Not every hour my dude but yeah every couple hours. It's called customer service. And before someone says well they are busy trying to fix the issue....this is why there's a customer support and a code fix team. To different jobs.
