I did turn the V-Sync off and it helped it tremendously. It will run either DX11 or DX12. Not sure that I can tell a difference. Running 1440 High Smoothly. Other than the few bugs you run into.

Hi. I just had the game crash during the DZ South Recon mission right when I had to take the first power fuse. I could go back there but now I can't take the fuse even if it shows me to. Anyone had this and a possible fix ? thx. [Edit] Killing yourself with a grenade will work. You'll respawn next to the fuse and can interact with it then.

@tired anchor @tropic quiver i also have the Castle settlement still greyed out. i heard it's bug that ubisoft was looking into. there are some ways around it, but not guaranteed until it's properly patched. however, it shouldn't stop you from moving on in the story, or so i've heard. I'm still leveling through myself

@umbral bay @lofty heart nah I have a ryzen and a rx560, at the day of launch I was getting 60fps with tweaked medium- high @1080p, now its a freezing mess. I've tried clean reinstall game, my amd drivers, updated my bios, did almost all fix anyone on the internet has put up, (apart from buying a new HDD) .. I suggest you guys trying Dx11 if you aren't using it already, it reduces the stutters to a certain extent, but your fps will take a huge hit

@rare topaz i was having the stuttering and my GPU 3D was dropping to 0% and i turned off input latency and enabled DX12 Renderer (both ingame settings-video) and it changed how it uses my GPU. there was a maintenance break about the same time so idk which one it was but i guess its worth a try.

so i use GeForce Experience to record my video gameplay (mainly shadowplay) and after yesterdays maintenance break every time i open the overlay the game crashes (i know this is probably their fault) any ideas on something i could do to try and fix this?

okay guys i just encountered a third problem today. i have a gear score of 430 but do not meet the 'requirements' for the final stronghold (I'm world tier 3 at the moment so i have done the capitol building invasion) i was 426 and thought that being 1 gs above maybe wasnt enough but now im 5 above and still cant do the tidal basin stronghold.

so after about half an hour of going around on the internet, for everyone who comes to it...you cant get to world tier 5 yet. EVEN THOUGH THEMISSION IS ON THE MAP. Ubisoft put it there but has not yet made the tidal basin stronghold active. (unless anyone here has done it and i read an old article on that website?)

also i have 1 SHD cache left to collect and its only available to get in the side mission (construction site on corner of 17th and F streets in Downtown West ) any way to replay this mission or do i have to wait for a patch? (i did it at about level 20 and I'm WT4 so loading an old save isn't really an option for me)

If your CPU is overheating then it usually means that the cooling system is not working correctly. There are many possible reasons for a credit card not being accepted:
1.The card is expired.
2.You have reached or exceeded your credit limit.
3.You have exceeded your daily charge limit.
4.A computer at either end of the transaction is having technical problems.
If you have problems submitting your credit card payment you should contact your Credit Card company to verify the attempted purchase.

Hello guys, got division 2 and installed the game off of the dvds, the issue is that uplay completely ignores it and wants to re-download the whole game again. I have tried the "locate installed game" which changed the download button to update button but the issue is that the update is 42 GB so its downloading the entire game, could someone for the love of god help me ? 😊

While playing sounds resumes but there's a freeze of 3 seconds and then it crashes to desktop without an error, just asks me to send a crashreport

First go to your sound options and disable those devices you aren't using, than go to device manager, right click those sound device that you aren't using, and select properties than uninstall the driver.

That's the way on fixing sound issues and spatial sound (in windows) must be off otherwise it get messed up

If that doesn't work tell me which headset you are using, so I can tell you what other steps you have to do to fix it.

@potent quest Everytime I turn on the computer, I have to troubleshooting via windows audio panel, run the sound test, say that the sound quality is no good, reinstalling audio drivers. Everyitime. Otherwise, no sound in game. And even in this way, the sound is not 100% quality. I know Im missing somehting, that Im hearing the sounds not correctly. And I have found the "solution" alone, after several tests. But its not the definitive solution, nor the best one. Now, in Beta I had 0 issues, so its so difficult patch this bug?!?

Has anybody been experiencing "invincible" enemies during bounties? By this I mean they are not taking damage or at least they are not showing damage numbers when you are shooting them.... I noticed this happening during hammer boss taunts and for the next few seconds to a minute after.... if i am not on the actual point of the bounty... and occasionally if there is a medic somewhere... the boss will not take any damage at all

I would say cpu as currently most users experience 100% usage. However if you're capable of max it will shift more to the gpu indeed.

ok @sudden hawk I tried the memory swap fix, lowering my GPU overclock, AND disabling my CPU clock entirely. Nothing works...I'm still crashing every 15-30 minutes. Looks like this game is just fucked for me. Doubt I'll be getting a refund either. 25 hours in and only level 15 because it takes me 4-5 crashes before I can actually finish a mission. @north island The only cause for this that I have found is that Windows resets the GPU because operations are taking too long (aka it hangs on certain operations.) Thus the only real solution is to scale down on the settings for now.

Updating my Nividia driver today. Was waiting for the game to fix some of the crash bugs like the drones. After that fix was deployed the crashes have been reduced to only occurring during long game play sessions or with ALT-TAB/Windowed Mode. (not sure just how it seems).

These are the crashes I had been seeing recently.
-Multiple hours in game sessions, just crashes all of a sudden for what seems like no reason.
-If I go out of full screen to windowed, game will crash after a minute or two if I stay out of the game. For example to type a message in discord.
-Random ones happen at random times with a alt-tab (not going to windowed mode first). I try not to do this as much as possible as it crashes almost every time.
-Using in game menu systems to exit the game it crashes. Every time. The /quit works better but also produces a crash.
I have been sending in the reports do send the reports in. Hope it helps a little.
Drivers have been updated and I will monitor for any changes.

I was at the shooting range, and the game suddenly stopped registering about 2/3rds of my shots, and the dps meter would reflect that. So I closed the game and relogged, and now I'm constantly stuck at 100% at login.

Hey guys - I know it's a pretty frequent issue, and with that being the case, there is a TON of posts concerning this. But I was wondering if there was any progress or workarounds for the stuttering and crashing to desktop? My game will stutter quite often - almost as if something is being loaded in, with a momentary freeze, pretty much the whole time I'm playing. Also, game will randomly freeze up on me, and then for some reason pop out of full screen into a window, and then crash to desktop altogether. Really at a loss of what to try here. Have rolled back video card drivers, turned off overlays, restarted multiple times, tried setting different priorities for the game, etc. It's gotten to the point that the game is quite literally unplayable for any longer than about 10-15 minutes...I'm desperate, here!!

@oblique hatch I had similar issues with crashing and surprisingly I managed to fix it in the weirdest way possible. After trying all the mentioned solutions I did the opposite and wanted some more performance for more quality. Especially since my GPU could handle it easily. This is when I decided to overclock my CPU it kept swapping back and fort in terms of performance. (Intel here not sure if AMD does the same. Where it switches to lower frequencies to save power, turbo when needing high perfomance, etc.) After some fiddling I disabled QuickStep and now not only is my CPU 100% of the time at max performance when running Division 2 but it also no longer crashes.

Yes, in my BIOS/UEFI it is listed as Intel QuickStep and I am only able to tweak it when turbo is enabled in it as well.

BSOD issues usually means an unstable CPU or RAM configuration especially since Intel comes with a so called "co processor" that tends tk fuck up your clock speeds and stability. Best thing to do is to tweak your CPU and RAM for a stable point. Kind of the same principle of buying a car in parts since you will have to "Tune" it to make it run smoothly

Was playing a mission, alt tabbed for a bit and got disconnected with DELTA-01 code. Understandable. But now can't get back into the game.
Can get to character selection screen and from there get the loading icon. Then boom, DELTA-01 again. Tried a restart, now verifying game files.

Okay, hopefully somebody knows. when I go into the dark zone my mic that is selected and I am unmuted in local lobby will no pickup voice when I have ptt on. Yes, I have disable VOIP on NO, group volume 100, proximity Volume 100. However, whenever I encounter people no one can hear me nor does the in game voice recognition icon show up. @fossil finch - update: I checked and I already had SpeedStep disabled. Went ahead and manually set my OC clock/multiplier and even locked down my GPU's clock speed. Seemed to help out with the hitching (still did it, but not nearly as bad). Game was running nice and smooth, and I thought I had it in the bag. Then....crash to desktop yet again. So, I'm completely at a loss of what to do. I get about 20 minutes in, and wham. Back to desktop. Quite frustrating...

yea, open taxk manager make sure all logitech programs in the backgroung where closed(end task) upen game create character load into the game then i power on my headset and if the fps drops alt tab task manager to close whatever logitech program opened

@viral otter If you mean the in-game benchmark, that is the same for soo many people. CPU is actually at 100%, as reported by Windows, keep in mind that the game can never use a full 100% either. Especially if other things are running like Discord, etc.

Fix DX12 Crash and Fix FPS The Division 2
Navigate to the directory where The Division 2 is installed C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
Right click on TheDivision.exe and select Properties
Select the Compatibility tab
Click on Change high DPI settings
Put a Check on Override high DPI scaling…. and set it to Application

The file is actually on the drive so you should still increase it. The reason the file is used is because active programs need to be ran from the RAM. When the RAM is full parts will be put into a page file. (The one we are talking about here.) This may be the cause of your problems. (aka stuttering as it has to read/write from the drive instead of the RAM only.) I would suggest you also look at why it uses 9 GB on auto, seems a little excessive but I may be wrong on that. (Mine is at 2.9 GB on auto but I have 16 GB RAM.)

windows has a framework update, it's dated 2019-02 it wasn't auto installing because I forgot that it was turned off. Because I got sick of restarting my computer constantly because of the dribble of updates they were doing. I just forgot to turn it back on lol

When playing the game i sometimes will freeze for 1-2 seconds. and then the world including my agent will fast forward through the time i spent froze. And just recently (18hrs in) it froze like that, and never unfroze :(

My benchmark runs at 80-90fps and using optimal settings from my geforce exp. drivers up-to-date, and even running Division 2 on my SSD.

To me the message is only shown when playing in another player's instance. But I think something similar may be shown when you have a poor connection yourself.

Just sharing here in-case someone there have same issue with what I had.
Audio cut, stutter and crash potential fix.

Alright so what I did is I checked the Windows Event Viewer. ( Windows Key -> type Event Viewer )

Then go to Windows Logs -> System.

If you see a Warning under Level with description under General tab 'An error was detected on device \Device\HarddiskX\DRX during a paging operation.' then this may help you fix the problem.

Solution that worked for me is to just move your TheDivision 2 install location to another ssd/hdd or you can fix your hard drive hardware problem by replacing its sata cable/power cable or the hard drive itself.

P.S.

I'm now able to play with Dolby Atmos and Directx 12 enabled.

@sudden hawk So after making the statement about not updating the AMD Software, I figured I would chime back in about what I figured out.
Before it updated I was running 17. It updated to the recommended 19.1 and immediately started crashing on start up. I was able to somehow revert to the 17 and it started working again.
Do want to mention also that I installed a new Antec 120mm RGB fan and the game was working with the light on to begin with.
Since there was also mention that RGB may be causing issues also. I uninstalled the Light Service controller. Light is not working now. Bummer.
I Uninatalled MSI Afterburner. Updated to the optional 19.3.3. I now have access to the AMD setting and using the Wattman for monitoring. Also bumped the fan speed up a notch to help keep the GPU around 70-75. Was running 80.
Oh yeah, also I had to disable the Norton that installed with the motherboard software at the beginning. The anti cheat kept blocking me.
Currently running 2560x1440 High 60fps.

Okay, hopefully somebody knows. when I go into the dark zone my mic that is selected and I am unmuted in local lobby will no pickup voice when I have ptt on. @viral otter hi mate, don't go searching for answers to far... your gtx1060 6gb can this game perfectly at ultra @1080 HOWEVER your cpu simply can't feed it fast enough at 2.8Ghz. there is no workaround. The only thing you can do is accept it and try lowering all settings accordingly, maybe, just maybe you can find a low 30osch fps but stable. BUt i wouldn't bet on it. best of luck man

@lofty heart its the RAM, when I uncapped the ram my CPU usage jumped to 94% and my GPU up to 84% but the FPS was massively stuttering but if I cut the FPS to 40 locked usage dramatically dropped and it mostly stops stuttering. So it's looking very much likely a lack of RAM

it's basically quite simple. For DX12 to perform well ALL pc components must be weel balanced and of equal quality. In dx11 there was something like maxframerenderaheadlimit which was basically a way of dealing with the internal components processingspeed differnce. And ppl cuild tweak it a bit to the needs of their specific bottlenekcs. The whole underlying mechanic simply doesn't exist anymore in DX12 and thus, for now, dx12 doens't handle bottlenecks very well.

Someone posted about memory leak/stuttering after some hours of gameplay on reddit the other day.. got the attention of the devs and they asked for more specifics on when it happens and what platform and stuff.. this post now has about 1k upvotes and like 500 comments so Ubisoft 100% knows about this.. hope they are fixing it.

P.s. you know about networking right? TCP is used for data which must be guaranteed to arrive properly, e.g. stats, UDP is used for the game data, e.g. player positions etc. (Which is why you can see teleporting AI and players 😂 )

Having audio issues with the game, can run it fine and could run and hear the demos fine but now audio is broken. I've tried updating all my drivers but it seems to not be the issue. Also, audio works when I'm alt tabbed out of the game and you cant see it, but when you open it back up it sort of glitches out

The alt-tab thing is the same issue I was having. Try to uninstall and reinstall Logitech gaming software. Ending task on the surround sound service also fixes.

Yes, in particular, it is the 7.1 surround sound features. After reinstall, I am using DTS 7.1 and having no issues. YW.

@jade rover The way I fixed it is killed Logitech Surround sound service in task manager, works fine then for me, sometimes comes back after I turn pc on again but rarely and it's easy to fix even if I started the game

If it like what I had in Division 1, it came from viewing the inventory/cosmetics. Than opening it back up and closing it would remove it. Not sure if it works in Division 2 though.

@trim merlin I wouldn't be able to answer that for you but it most likely has to do with permissions for the app. Geforce is a third party program so I wouldn't expect a fix for that from Ubi unless you do it yourself

What Atillla is saying is that we cannot see what is happening behind the scenes on your pc to cause you this problem. there are a lot of things that affect fps in game from overlays I.E Ubisofts in game overlay Discord,GeForce,Steam etc all of those can cause some fps drops in games.

I'm sending a ticket in right now. I just took a look at the specs you posted earlier Raccoon and I have an even more powerful PC than yours and I'm still getting the issues. I have a feeling it's RAM based as we both have 8GB but my mate has 16GB and he's running the game fine. Which still shouldn't be an issue according to the games own system requirements infographic but.

@warped plover @mystic flax my game was crashing pretty much every 2-3 hours due some sort of nvidia issue (if you looked at the event viewer), but switching it to DX11 finally fixed this for me. game will still occasionally freeze up for a second, but no longer crashes

If your GPU is not DX12 compatible it will not run correctly. DX12 needs i7-7700 or similar CPU. Also, TD2 uses high CPU & GPU usage so if you're rig isn't high end it's going to struggle running DX12 and you will run into problems.

it's always been like this. Everytime directX has to tackle significant hardware innovations there is a bad trial version (dx6, dx8, dx10) that runs slow and unstable until software and hardware industry gets the hang of it. and then there's the experienced version (dx9, dx11) that become industry standard for many years...

On top of that dx12 was rushed because of AMD's failed attempt to take over that industry standard position with Vulcan api...

Yup, Dx12 is not the issue, many games have implemented it without issue. I suspect there’s a net code issue as every time I have a frame rate stutter there’s a drop in CPU usage. Seems like there’s a hiccup in the network sync causing local processing to stutter

best thing to do now is wait untill new gen consoles specs are revealed. Then you buy similar but better hardware and you can be sure that you'll play all the games in ultra for the entire lifespan of the next gen consoles
