Yeah it’s not usually worth recalibrating the core. Ideally you get an equalizer that drops with crit damage or crit chance, so you can recalibrate the other attribute to what you’re missing

1. You don't really need to stick to its tier order and enjoy occasional damage boosts
2. If you stick to its tier order the talent applies from the lowest ranking tier upwards. Yes, to your wording

for most content, you don't have to follow the order strictly. it only becomes a problem in legendaries where sometimes you have to kill stuff "out of order". but in most cases it will give the buff to whatever you're shooting naturally

For SMGs, yes. I wouldn't use Obliterate with SGs cause Obliterate doesn't work like Striker stacks which count every pellet as its own hit. Not to say you cant use it with SGs, you can, you just gotta weapon swap constantly if you can't keep the stacks at max without the SMGs.

If you want survivability + decent enough DPS for solo Heroic, this build does just fine with little to no risk. You can go up to an enemy in the face and take them out in 3 or 4 seconds after you stack with ACS then swap to Elmo's.

That said, yeah, the upfront damage is ass and you're not gonna get anywhere without getting up in enemies faces and just blasting their heads like crazy, which is what I do.

They are dead, Local. In fact, I've face tanked multiple NPCs at a time with this build and at max stacks, they really don't last. Keep in mind that bonus armor from trophies scales with your total armor. Sometimes I don't even need the shield, and I can afford to let it regen a bit while my bonus armor just keeps feeding itself and I never die.

And yes, Red Chill Out because I can.

I got just under the DMG integer overflow once with it around 2300M, I think and walked off with over 120 kills in Legendary with it once.

I want to preface, this by saying that I don't play with this build often or daily, but it works, and I haven't had a lot of trouble surviving in hard content thanks to. That's all I'm saying.

Everyone else in that same group was floating around 1300-1000M team damage and had roughly 50-70 kills.

I'm pretty sure I have over 3000 Countdown runs under my belt and at least 1000 of those are on Heroic. It's really not worth the effort it takes, to complete a Heroic run. Plus with people crashing or leaving, it just makes it that much worse.

Yes the quality is better on average, but it's a lot slower and you'll end up with much less loot in the long run.

When CD first came out, Heroic was all I did. But eventually the amount of crashing and server problems just pushed me away. And I can't imagine it's much better these days. I eventually hit my limit with all the bullshit deaths and stuff and I just kinda stopped putting myself through that.

Heroic can be fun. It can be very enjoyable. But I find that hitting the RNG lottery with good group + good servers is just not worth the frustrations of all the other matches. It just isn't.

I recently made a weird umm build. Its tanky but getting bombed is tough.

So im running x4 Foundry Pieces + Overdogs and Douglas Glass Cannon Chest.

Head is Foundry Skill tier with skill repair and chc
Chest is Douglass Blue with chc/chd and Glass Cannon (couldn't get a obliterate, and chest gives 20% pistol damage)
Holster is Foundry Blue with chc
Backpack is Foundry Blue with chc/skill repair
Hand is overdogs full red
Kneepads is Foundry Blue with chc

I am also running technician for the hive.

Now Im getting Tier 6 on my shield since head is skill tier. Otherwise im getting tier 5 for it. The x2 skill repairs are to increase hive repair to just over 50% which is around just over 7m regen to the shield.

I am not running the crusader shield but rather the big one. Then for Pistols im running either tempest/regulus or liberty. and I do have smg + ar (No lexington yet) talent is the one that increases weapon damage when no skill is on cooldown.

I know PFE is the recommended tank version. But PFE doesn't protect you if a purple add spawns. This can handle a good amount of damage and is not a bad all rounder tank build. But is there anyway to improve this a little bit? Any other weapon recommendations I could maybe use or which pistol? cause Regulus is hitting for 2.5m on the head but with this event. So should be less when it ends.

Depends on your overall values. I'd farm for a better one, personally. Since it's a red core item you'll predominantly get red attribute drops. Shouldn't take long to get a better one, but it also depends which difficulty you play on
