Model 700 and White Death are the highest DMG HE MMR

The dmg difference is only like 2-5% depending on the build. Both work fine.

Clips fill an internal, non removable mag. Also sometimes used to fill external mags. Think m1 Garand and its 8rnd stripper enbloc clip.

Magazines on the other hand are external and the bolt strips bullets directly from them.

This also why model 700 and white death have a single round reload.

M1 Garand doesn't use stripper clips, it uses en-bloc clips. Stripper clips are what would be used by a Lee-Enfield or Gewehr 98 for example.

no rule on how to build, but tbh youre gonna have a rough time because there isnt any synergy. this is why the guides are made. build towards one and then fine tune it to fit you. just slapping things together regardless of set bonus/attributes is just holding you back

If you're going for straight survivability, take 3 piece Gila, double Regen Emp Guard knees, everyday carrier, and catharsis mask. Every attribute should be rolled for Armor/HS Damage/Armor Regen. You could ditch catharsis and run memento instead for passive memento armor Regen. Everything is entirely your choice

If you're feeling extra scummy, you can ditch headshot damage and run hazard protection as well. The damage from bighorn is already high. The survivability makes this build a face tank monster

Now if you're going the crit route, same deal, but instead roll for crit chance and crit damage. You can run armor Regen on the pieces that require mod slots for a bit more Regen at the cost of trading crits. Regen builds aren't hard to make but entirely depends on your playstyle

I did all 12 of the first ones but I’m working on 13 and I pass them by the skin of my teeth most the time. The reason it's guess work is because Theo is a trickster in the way of lore, he likes to leave breadcrumbs. They did say that future seasons will likely be more obvious when it comes to the tasks required but did say that with the new system they've paved the way to adaptation.

The main core difference with the old system is that it was set up in the same vein as the WONY campaign where you had 4 rogue agents and then Keener as the prime target. Through each season since the DLC launched we were ALWAYS eliminating people until those two seasons where we rescued people for the castle, aswel as going on a hunt for Kelso in 4 different areas of NY.

You could see that by this point they wanted to go beyond designing new characters only for them to be killed off because let's face it, there's so many baddies that died and this served no purpose, like stovepipe and Captain Lewis. The system forced them into this cycle because of the technical side which has now been overhauled - I'd expect it to still play a part in the next DLC which may appear more exciting than it currently is, because honestly 3 menial tasks per week gets very boring.

You'll find that on division, its most hardcore pvp playerbase is on PC

Don't feel bad for getting absolutely walked on. Eventually you'll start to learn what builds work best for you and which ones don't. Pay attention to the builds you encounter in pvp and make note of it. Almost every pvp build has a counter. Somebody is fully pulse resistant? You should use it to counter that. They're probably running pulse. Somebody running bighorn? Throw on heartbreaker or system corruption. Those are nasty face tank builds that are good counters to bighorn/regen builds

Bottom line is, division has a complex pvp that is hard to get into but easy to master

Unbreakable works fine, everyday carrier would be best in slot. Bighorn Regen operates heavily on instant kits + Regen. The build listed in the spreadsheet is hazard reliant. If you're going HS + Regen, use catharsis, everyday carrier chest, 3 piece Gila (backpack with ad rush) and emp guard kneepads with HS dmg or the unicorn double Regen. Roll for armor. Firewall specialist, defender drone for skill 1 and booster hive for skill 2

If you're feeling ballsy and want an equal amount of Regen and damage, run matador backpack and hunter killer chest.

maximum theoretical armor without using stuff like Memento long buffs but with full watch bonuses is 1.9 million

If you want to stay all red-ish you can try Memento (adds two shield tiers) or the Technician specialization (+1 shield tier), which also opens up the Spotter + Flatline damage talents combo

you can get pretty crafty with the shield to get some significant boosts in strength. artificer+ tech class, memento, yellow picaros ive used in the past to bake a bulwark scale from 9mil-12mil armor strength and 48%-58% shield repair every 10 seconds from artificer. all scaled depending on memento stacks. at the time is was on a 6red, but now thats 5% less since picaros nerf...

Short buff adds temporary core dependent boosts. so weapon damage, more skill efficiency, bonus armor.

you just really need to analyze where youre gonna use it to see if its benefits outweigh its drawbacks. mem will never outdamage a regular backpack talent. it an easy way to hybrid without losing too much in the trade.

the honest answer is that since Gear 2.0 the apparent design direction is that the best way to survivability is simply to kill enemies before they can do too much damage to you

hence how the old "universal" build was just a high end all red, all critical hit chance and damage setup to maximize damage output

Well pve and pvp want different stats

You want some blue cores for pvp and almost all red for some pve

One build can't be optimised for both but I guess some pvp builds are usable in pve, usually not the other way around

I saw some Iron Lung build that does well for both

You burn in pvp which messes up other players aim etc

And looks decent enough for pve with the right playstyle

But won't be the highest damage or best CC out of them all

For purely PvE there's a lot more options tho

Savage Wolverine or Dark Winter with some accompanying brand sets
