hey guys i wanted to ask a build question related to solo gameplay
aside from matchmade activies usually i play solo, are the solo builds differ from the normal ones? as in do you still go full red on them or have some blues in it and change up some of the stuff on them in comparison to the ones on the spreadsheet?
I mean what do you want to achieve
It depends what you want to use
Personally, blues in PvE are such a waste. I prefer using a full red build.

Yeah but you need to shot at the body making you less headshot and Rifle really shine with it's accuraty. Such a waste to pass on that damage bonus.

can somebody give me a good ouroboros build? im running out bullets too fast and range is rlly bad 😦 running 4 pc striker with backpack, gropo and ceska with obliterate with gunner)
No build will help you keep your bullets. Oro shines at close range, so if you're using it for long range you'll hit less, lower, and will need more bullets to kill stuff. Switching to an AR will fix that. Different ammo so you're Oro won't run out as fast, and better damage at range.

No. Handling affects, reload speed, stability, accurracy and swap speed.
that one smg with perfect outsider works if you want an smg with range
but you do give up a talent slot for it though

It'll have the best sustain damage, plus 62 rounds and 830 ROF
If you just change the AUG to 830 with the ability to have three crit attachment it becomes best in class. Of course you're then not getting another talent but still
Yeah but the recoil and spread is kinda doo doo. Spread sheets are great but real time it might not be that good just like all the other previous "top damage" guns missed shots is missed DPS.
Black market ak has wild DPS theoretically yet nobody uses it
This is also why the Emlo was considered so OP was because people just started hitting 10-15% more shots with the WH and low inherit recoil of the M4 it's based off of.

I'm starting to think some content creators are baffling stupid. Watching a video, they are saying they don't understand why the Pestilence has such a high RoF in the PTS. Multiple commentors saying that it's based on the M249 which is getting a +300 ROF. He's convinced it's a bug because exotics are separate. Now I actually like this guys builds but this seems so stupid.
You'll start to notice this stuff a lot, that's why most players stay away from YT content

There's a very good reason we dump on YTers here as a general rule of thumb

Most of the big YTers are casual players, they use what's fun and what will get them clicks. Which is totally fine. The problem is that some (most) pass their builds off as best thing since toliet paper

The biggest YTers are the biggest because they cater to the casual audience. The players who already know what they are doing aren't looking up guides. And the casual audience doesn't know enough to be able to tell they are being fed junk food.
I blame the YTers for the meta that we are in
Today I saw a 3x Electrique, 2x WH and Contractor with Ouro as a PVP build. I appreciated the effort and it's something I've never seen but people are gonna go out of their way to make that
Just remember, there was a MONTHS long period between strikers getting buffed and the incursion where YTers and the casual audience had strikers going completely under the radar

For PVP it seems. At minimum you're getting extra armor and 5% weapon damage

Matador is only worth it in PvP if you can put a blue core on it

Yeah, I felt like all the gun numbers could easily be adjusted, same with the ceska/grupo changes, so I havent bothered figuring all that stuff out yet
When do they typically finalize the changes?
I think they mentioned theres likely another PTS coming at some point, but theyve also said that before and cancelled it and only had 1, so tbh we just dont know right now

Elmos didn’t get nerfed because they buffed the m4, they made a mistakey

It's mods are just that much better than any other option so they toned it down a bit
And it's so easy to make a crazy high CHC/CHD with Elmo on Strikers
I mean they wanted to buff the normal m4 and they made mistakes with other numbers
Its pretty clear they made an error with elmo

Getting 55/170+ with that amount of range is silly
The m4 buff makes it pointless
tbh I think the elmos nerf is one of the few ones I disagree with lol, its just not as good as people think it is
it's just a friendly and easy to use weapon

I do agree with the mod changes but inherently getting more damage from M4
It will also have a faster reload. Albeit 0.1 seconds faster but nonetheless
The weapon handling nerf makes sense for the elmo, that's what mainly made it effective beyond most other picks
And from insane range. You had built in protection from not having to be super aggro
Full auto and barely any recoil control
Low risk decently high reward
Well the spread/bloom/accuracy, whatever you want to call it is better than any other AR (comparable)
It's just great for that reason alone
You can't control that on guns through input
And then +20 CHC/D was also nutty for something with that much range.
theres plenty of very accurate ARs, elmos is just another one

I think with the M4 buff and it stayed the way it was, it was going to be even that much better. This makes it still very good, but now you have to weight other options.
Afaik I don't think there is an ar as accurate as the elmo outside of burn out/honey badger
There's a part of me that would actually love to see recoil charts
And thats a negative, not a positive. To me the thing people miss about elmos is that yes its good, but its right on the level of other HE ARs. Going with an exotic on par with a HE gun means your spending that opportunity cost of your exotic weapon on elmos and not a differnt gun like scorpio or regulus
There is one nerf in this whole thing that I am excited about that few have mentioned. The NPC directives(I am uncertain about the term) that do things like reflect damage at distance and other aspects.
This nerfs the thing that I would argue does plague the game. It penalizes the DPS Free for all that plagues MM Heroic and other parts of the game. People will hopefully now have to plan their fights and no longer just thoughtlessly DPS. I argue give players power, but if they are careless with it - then punish them hilariously.
It opens up new builds and breaks the whole one build rules all aspect of the game. It kills metas by making them irrelevant.
Oh absolutely. Even thinking you need an exotic on a build is a problem. If the changes go through, purely by Burst on all exotic AR's it's now in last place. 75/25 split of burst/sustain it's second worst and 50/50 it's tied for second worst. Truthfully I like it because it beams, I stun people and for whatever reason does feel easy to use. Extrapolate that over gamers who probably don't have ability and want easy mode but high rewards, I can see the appeal
Im pretty sure the modifiers are all optional
I think even with it, people are still going to gravitate towards it because of their expertise level and because they've probably maxxed it out, and it won't be a fair comparison because they don't have equivalent, same level weapons
So I am not worry about it

Yeah you know the whole looking for the highest DPS build that does everything with high damage and no thought. Think of the experience of MMing into Heroic and everyone is running around with shields towards doors trying to chase kills without any thought.
@urban latch I do wonder though trying to objectively think, why do people consider Elmo that good. Just from people force feeding it and that it's been middle of the pack the entire time but just incredibly user friendly? I don't know
I love the buff to OD. It is a great group build that I would love to see more often.
I use it in CD now just because of hollow lol
reputation goes a long way when the vast majority of people are just following the crowd
And going from 35 to 50 on the chest with a sadist buff is gonna be fun
I love the sadist buff. Again it creates a combined playstyle.
Elmo coming with 20chc/chd/wh makes it easy to put into any build, espeically on low shd watch

There was a hunters fury with intimidate and ad rush "meta" that had a huge following for ages, that every casual player thought was the only build worth running similar to what the casual player base currently thinks of strikers now
and it was never really that good of a build. It was solid and strong for sure, but not nearly at the level people thought it was
same with the old high end drone/turret skill build
But if you get told by x numbers of YT'ers that it's the best, you're gonna farm and optimize it
That meta annoyed me because it had everyone running for spawn points on different sides of the map. Again what I call hungry hungry hippo playstyle.

if you have no instantaneous buff to make the on-kill buffs work it just ends up being worse than a consistent uptime build like high end
On kill only really gives you greatest benefit when solo.
Elmo just tends to perform good in every situation, not great. It's a pick once and forget kind of gun.
And knowing that with Striker you can just use an ACS/Lefty/RnR, it's GG
Its a go to and it provides CC in a limited capacity.
Well 70 rounds of CC is insane when you think about it

I just want one easy to make "kid's first gearset" that is competitive and simple to ease players into creating builds. I then want said gear set to be challenged to force players to advance and invest time learning the gear system. It is a simple request that I think would yield strong results. No +20% extra damage over all. Just a nice gateway to building drug.

Heartbreaker starts blue which requires extra farming. That was always my gripe with it. The Umbra buff helps create a good easy to make build to compete with stiker.

keep in mind the f2000 and honey badger are down 1 attachment slot, so that does make a difference. They are definitely top tier though

Yeah exactly. This is just base gun. I wanted to keep them at their base mag instead of with an extended, because people might use the +15 without the reload penalty
That was always one of the weakness of the weapon class. It was why I thought the buff on Fox's was needed, but a rework of rifles needed to be done sooner or later.
That is not a good sign.
the accuracy is just REALLY bad. When you manually fire you can go just slightly under the max RPM and get significantly more accuracy, but you have no control firing auto and get the full inaccuracy. You can put on the buffed stability/accuracy mods, but that sacrifices damage, and its not like the rifles have any real advantage over ARs even before you do that
@urban latch Let me do one other thing that'll take awhile but I think would be valuable at least on AR/SMG. I'm gonna add a toggle switch of +15 mag, +20 mag with reload drop. That way it'll change the MS and RS for each of them depending if the toggle is on

The one huge buff the full auto on rifles is for console/controller players where the ravenous firerate was bugged, so thats a huge plus for them, except the rav was bugged in the PTS and only firing 1 shot instead of 2

They need to rework some aspects of rifles. The time to become stable and accurate is too long and stability modifiers don't help it enough.

Well there is recoil which you can correct for and there is spread. Both are small in this game imo.

I just think this game messed up with skills. They tried to make them compete with the agent and they cannot compete with a gun on the skill build for damage. Skills should be utility or something else.

So you want everyone to do the same amount of damage? No specialization into skill or damage?
Really it should be a list of issues and the worst offenders are different per person cause of preference in play.
Skill damage no, weapon damage yes, weapon damage should be exclusively tied to perks, maybe bring back higher percentages of crit chance to compensate for instances of damage, make damage builds more about recoil control and headshot damage
That sounds a lot like gear 1.0 when it was originally released.
It would make damage builds more involved and allow many non damage builds to still be involved in the core gameplay loop
Gear 1.0 had that. You could with enough knowledge make a build that could do everything. It devolved in the course of a year.
People complained and we had the episode with a particular massive dev convo on twitter with a video.
Gear 2.0 had the intro of primary attribute cores.
Well here is what the problem is, we either more towards builds about mixing and matching, or we have damage builds reign supreme

There is in my mind. We create circumstances where damage alone is not enough. The modifiers introduced look like one attempt.
With a 20 mag and my weighting F2k becomes clear choice first in class lol

Yes and is a complete personal preference, something you can't control on variables. Therefore you have a baseline for what's important and then you work from there

It's all recommended by "great" players anyway. No one uses the spreadsheet meta weapons anyway.

I am not a fan of metas, but what I want has been somewhat consistent for 5 years.

Tbh, you could run through with a bad patriot build and get 10/10 first try. I just dont bother with a headshot/eclipse/lady death build for hard or challenging league

A lot of people use targeted gear in countdown or summit. Just farm for Walker and Harris. It maybe slow, but Walker and Harris rolls red so you should be able to get what you are looking for with some persistence.

i dont use ceska but ur not shd 1000 yet so u do prob need the crit chance but u could easily run striker chest with ouroburos it builds up stacks real fast, swap gloves/holster/kneepads for the ceska if u do need the crit chance

I find my problem with HF is just general survivability. I feel like I can never take a second off when I'm using. Always gotta be on my toes lol
idk 50% HOK and 20% AOK is good survivability.

Pts ouro is nerfed pretty significantly tbh. It's similar to Elmo's now where it's damage is basically on par with HE guns, so you lose that opportunity cost of your exotic weapon, but it's damage per mag is trash with that mag size and damage reduction.
It 100% needed a nerf, but tbh I think it's a little much.
It should still be a top option imo, hopefully some of the nerfs are pulled back

Yeah was kinda looking into maybe like a regen tankier build just kind of want something that at least is less glassy. The issue is there are so many options and I kind of want to prioritise first from other peoples experiences seen striker is like the most common build so may start there and branch out.

Have a look at hunters fury as well. It pairs well with memento, the set has armor in kill, and disorients nearby npcs on kill.
Cqb build puts you in proximity of the memento trophies so pickups are pretty constant .
Works great as a shotty/smg dps or shotty/pistol headhunter build depending on setup

You don't necessarily need your builds fully optimised if you're just using them for fun or to have variety. You can optimise your gear if you're gonna main/"abuse" that build
100% - play the game, understand the game and work with things that at least kind of make sense and you can do most or all content
yup, for the most part youll get a lot of gear thats almost maxed anyways. just stick with challenging and up if possible. countdown is king for farming atm
playing against the AI is the more fun part than building to me tbh. i never run out of fun fighting them
For legendaries: catharsis, Golan BP with adrenaline, Hunter-killer chest, 3 improvised pieces. Everywhere is armor, chc, chdand Pfe mods. Firewall spec with its shield, scorpio, shieldbreaker.
Raid: catharsis, belstone BP, yaahl chest, cavalier gloves and holster, emperor's guard. Everywhere is hazpro and armor regen. Pfe mods. Technician spec.
I like a build to maximize damage using the Seeker Mines and fast reuses. Tried with Emperor named chest (Caesar) & BP (Battery Pack), 1 China, 1 Wyvern, Emperors Guard and Contractors loaded with Skill Damage and Skill Haste but on Heroic it doesn’t kill enough to let the Perfectly Skilled talent reset the skills. Any hints or is it just not strong enough?

seekers always gonna be either low damage /fast cooldown, or better damage / slow cooldown. you can split the difference by using highend with glass /tech support and maybe btsu /stinger hive. youll be able to oc and get your seeker off cooldown quick sometimes, and the stinger hive is like 20-40mil (depending on build) in a nice little package.
personally i would take mortar over seeker any day of the week. big damage/fast cooldown.
i use the same concept on my mortar build, but it could be adapted for seekers easily.
but judging your current setup, make the bag empress tech support or china strategic alignment. keep ceasar chest, and swap knee to 3rd empress (this will give efficiency which will be 10% skill damage and 10% status effects).
so 3 empress, china, contractors, wyvern regardless of where they are placed. the total skill damage from either bag will be a big boost to your current. if you use capacitor, itll give you another 12% dta and up to 60% skill damage.

I'd say balance in pve is much less of an issue because a person can simply choose not to play something
If determined worked as intended 50% of the time, I'd just use a damage talent and still play MMR cause I like them, and we'd go back to seeing basically nobody playing with MMRs. Sniping in group is pure sweat.
Even in a 100% solo player game balance is important for a good game, it's something that's taken for granted a lot of the time. But division pve also isn't intended for only solo play. Group play is a very key part, and you absolutely need balance in group pve.
It is bad game design to keep something like determined in the game, but most other solo pve games tend to have something akin to determined in their own flavor, or people can just simply mod the game.
In division group play is very much optional, and people can choose to play with people or not, depending on group management.
Require 12x scope or specialization scope, howabout that? 😛
granted you can't use it in legendary currently, but id say 1886 determined is absolutely broken and id be fine if it ONLY worked with scope

I'd also argue it's not the low skill players that really expose how unbalanced it is, even though there's the reputation of determined removing all skill. In the hands of a good player is really when it's completely busted.

My eagle bearer is only at 97k. I’m wondering if it’s possible that since I’m a higher rank if I can somehow get a better one dropped? Or it’s always the same drop (different talents) and you just gotta level it up?
I usually play solo since I’m friendless so as much damage as possible to regen my armor is preferred. Any thoughts on changes or how to get a better eagle bearer?
All guns are fixed on their base damage. The attributes % is the only thing that changes and you can simply optimize those. Exotics do have a random rolled third talent and DTTOOC is the BIS for this stat, you can reconfigure to get a shot at rolling an EB with that.
The one that drops in the DZ has a higher base damage 😉

Bro I just came from the division 1 how do I create a good build at pvp? Not used to how Simple it is to get gear set prices and what not. I'm so confused
There's a spreadsheet that's 📌 pinned in this channel "spreadsheet 2" with a pvp section in the builds tab.
note: there's a mass gear+gun rebalance coming next Season, so it'll only be 100% useful for a little while. The meta likely won't change that much either way though.
I think PVP meta will change a decent bit
basic will probably stay the same tho. Headshot builds will be a little better. Umbra will be better too

Kinda, youd be better off ignoring most of those and getting good with umbra. However whats in their is still gonna be good just not "meta"

it's exactly because it gives that bonus in that range that it's strong. you want to play regulus at that range anyway
with this bonus, HF is way stronger than high end

Countdown targeted loot is the easiest way to farm in the game but it can get boring on repeat playthroughs

Once you get into a match, follow the team, don't go alone.
What they're gonna do first is take out the Hunters, hide in this phase as those mfs are strong as hell. Make sure to pick up the things they drop as they are vital for Optimizing or Recalibrating gear. Hunter tags are something that, when the extraction is successful, turns to Countdown Requisition. This req can be used to buy Named Item, Seasonal and Exotic caches.
Going back to the CD match...
Once you've taken down the Hunters, the group will go to the easiest and nearby encounter the match gives. Stick with them. You only need to take down two encounters, the third one is not worth.
After these two encounters are done, the Main mission is going to be unlocked. This main mission often requires teamwork, such as Hacking laptops, destroying cores or gas pumps, etc. When this mission is completed, a big yellow crate can be opened and drops random gear+TL (Targeted Loot).
All loot that you get cannot be stolen from you unless you share it
After aaaall this stuff is done, comes the extraction phase. Where you have 3 minutes to clear a couple of Hunters, Helo reinforcements and some NPC's wandering there.
Fire the flare when there are between 20-10 seconds left on the clock. Then at least three enemy reinforcement helos need to be cleared, then you can extract with 120-130 CD req.
The CD vendor is at the BoO (White House), next to the Seasons Vendor shown up as a little laptop.

last night i was with a random group in heroic regular capitol, at the end when you can spawn lock i just spammed the shit out of the spawn with gl on repeat. was pretty nutty 😅 . golden bullet + mortar build = 😍

So what's the gameplay loop? That's the one thing I struggled with initially on the EP. Like what order to do things, how much do I shoot, etc.
ill usually put hive out first then plant mortar somewhere. with combined arms you just gotta tap an npc while mortar is in flight to get the benefit since its only a 3 sec proc
ill use cap if i can get stacks prett easy, otherwise i just insync

eb has come back into favor with a recent buff. there is a balance pass coming though and im unsure if eb is affected or not

you also have the oc that you can proc when your mortar goes down to get it back instantly. its only a 10sec cooldown at 100% haste. hive is really quick and can deploy with partial charges in a pinch. also nice for resetting teamates skills like revive hives after they pop

Yeah I'd say. It's still going to be a viable option. If you're gonna be doing Countdown just slap on Assault Rifles, you'll eventually get one
With it my crit chance is 60 already and damage over 150% (eagle bearer)
This doesn't sound like gun go brrtt, too hard, don't know what to do with hands
you use the grenade launcher , it can proc combined arms. mortar/hive kills can also refresh your gb
but tbf, i like a bit of input into my builds. i like that mortar and gl have travel time instead of hitscan.
