its not for determined or anything. you wont have crit on the build and youll be stacking headshot damage. an ar you can beam heads with will do ok damage. body shots will be shit though

there isnt any exotic thats really worth running on the build. one could make a case for dodge city holster/regulus for a pocket nuke, but thats about it

I'd be slightly wary of using an AR with a hotshot build, as your lack of CHC (crit chance) will hurt it.

On my other alt I just threw a good SMG on there, which helped cover the lack of stats.

Elmo pretty solid for hotshot tbf. Anything you use will be low crit. Elmo has the stability and makes it easy to lay into heads. Also the cc if you shoot for that long

using two smgs isnt usually advisable because they draw from the same ammo. using another weapon type like a shotgun (which is also very good with HF) will come in handy. but if you never have problems running low on ammo then carry whatever

Somewhat controversial, but I always recommend something with a longer range for your secondary on a HF build.
Yes it won't get the buffs, but for enemies that stay too far away it's very useful. I usually go for a crit rifle of some sort, m1a or the like.

Hey TD2 gamers. I’m coming back to this game after a long time and trying to find builds that I like. Made a pretty maxed out striker Elmo’s build and while I liked it, I felt like I wanted a slightly different playstyle. So then I see Umbra Initiative and like the sound of the in and out cover and quick stacks for more damage, and I throw together this build. With Ninja bag it’s 4x UI, 2x Sokolov, 2x Providence all stacked into CHD and CHC. I tried it with lady death and just didn’t like how quickly I had to reload always leaving a sliver of health on elite enemies, hence why I’ve settled on chameleon. I just feel like there’s more it could offer if anyone has any suggestions about what to change or what other build I should try. Thanks everyone 👍🏻

As jd said you’d want a backpack damage talent ie, Ceska backpack with vigilance would be ideal. You can also get a memento or simply run umbra backpack in the meantime.

Chameleon is not good weapon due to how infrequent and annoying the talent is. Any good gun is gonna be better for you.

if the item is specifically named (like how that item is called Nightwatcher) it may have a perfect stat- and that perfect stat is usually a bit higher if the item can naturally have that stat on it anyways, and cannot be extracted. If its a unique stat (Like scanner pulse haste) it also cannoy be extracted.

Other named items will have "perfect" talents, which have perfect/perfected in their name. These also cannot be extracted.

Right now your build is heavily focused on Regen. Keep the armor cores, but try to run brandsets that will give you damage, to min/max the combination of damage and armor. That's the basic idea for pve, there's lots of ways to go about that. There's a slightly outdated pvp guide in the spreadsheet

Regen builds can work, but take a bit if experience to play and ideally teamwork to maximize

Your also getting next to nothing from ninjabike with your current setup

With 2p cav it's not real hard to get 100% haz pro. The 4k regen attributes add up to roughly 1% if you have them on all 6 gear pieces, so they are sort of the "throw them on when you have nothing better" roll for tanks.

But on my raid character I run foundry with backpack, yaahl chest and rolled all haz pro

(Even for Morozova) … in my runs the haz pro worked fine but in the last 2 runs I used foundry I kept rerolling to armor regen bc people weren’t throwing out decoys and a laser got me while I went for key

cap uses the core mix as 90% and memento bumps it 30-45% wd additional from the talent

Those are the weapons being used but the pistol isn't a big deal.

It is one of the best pistols to have for utility reasons but it's a named DZ item.

Just to note: the Kard's +1 Skill Tier is only active if you are actually holding the gun in your hand.

Also to get more out of your countdowns you can switch TL mid countdown by opening the map and pressing H. So if you get what you want early in a run you can swap or if you need gear do it in the first part then for the final hunters swap to things you need named items for cause more drop at the end on the hunters..

Tanks are extremely niche, you can run Foundry bulwark with Pointman chest and Belstone backpack, Regen minors everywhere, It's a solid tank. The problem is Tanks don't work well, and you'll be hard pressed to contribute to your team. As far as Deflector goes, it's a gimmick, and is kind of tricky to build around.
