roll everything with WD and CHD, chest piece from Fenris with Glass Cannon, Fox's Prayer with CHD, St. Elmo (for mods equipped), you will reach 57% CHC and over 180% CHD; Capacitor performs way better on full red builds, especially Striker with Coyote and chest with Obliterate

Classic skill build is high end with 3pc empress, wyvern and Hana u, but obviously that's going all in on skills

To run a hybrid type build it would be more beneficial running red core nego, ceska oblit/glass chest , memento.
You'll get some wd from memento but more importantly you'll get 30% skill efficiency... skill efficiency = %in all skill buckets (Skill damage,haste,duration,repair,skill health,status effects).

You could still use cap/tech class that would put you at 6 red cores and 1 faux red core from the 2 skill tiers you would have.
Fully charged memento/cap would give you 90% skill damage to work with while still having strong weapon dsmage.
Can also use a future perfect secondary to drive up skilltier.
Which chem is that?

For solo you can even run a sniper hybrid, hotshot/memento with 3 skill tiers and future perfect, you'll still be able to one shot elites with max hh stacks while getting your skills up to tier 6 and occasional overcharge. Have to aim well though.

depends. lefty is great bc perfect sledge is so strong. and theres an extra mod/attachment slot on it. but if you dont like grenades or know the spawn points to throw them at in order to use sledge effectively, then ACS can be a better option bc of the talents you can put on it. like flatline or something. also depends on the content you're using it in. if you want to do an incursion then go with lefty. if you only wnt to use it to stack for strikers then go with lefty (for the rof attachment)

Is the eclipse protocol a good choice for a first exotic set

Gearsets, brandsets (gold), and Exotics are 3 different types of loot, Eclipse Protocol is a "gearset", which is a green-ish colour with the logo in it.
As for it being your first build at endgame, I'd probably suggest something that deals straight damage first, but it's an excellent build to have afterwards, Top 5 easily.

In general, what you want is 4 pieces or no pieces of a gearset, the only real rule breaker is Hotshot.

It's all good tho. You are still early on and haven't missed out on too much.

First things first, I'm working so if someone else wants to explain this idm take it up. Words are important, recalibration(you can re roll 1 core or attribute line item on MOST items), reconfigure(taking an exotic and random rolling it's stats, on guns the third attribute will randomize too), and optimize(incrementally increase a line item to max and it's limited by your recal libraries max roll) are all different and separate things.

So the recal library is a donate a line item from a weapon/gear piece and it will get destroyed but it'll permanently be in your library with unlimited uses. I would suggest only putting in perfect rolls cause imo 1 item for 1 thing is better than donating 10 to get one line maxed.

Reconfiguring the Elmo is going to allow you to get different third attribute, typically DTTOOC(damage to target out of cover). This is the standard for exotics now, get it random roll till you get the preferred third line and then optimize it to max.

Problem is the 1-2 piece bonuses really don't synergize.

So if you put together a list of all the bonuses you'll get it'll be a funk build and the bonus stats wont really help.

Almost every good build is 4 piece gear set/1 brand set/1 exotic or another brand set or just all high end parts. There are only a couple instances where you use a 2-3 gear set items and it's the MMR build and like 1-2 PVP builds.

I now have 1x Palisade, 2x Uzina (Entrench), 1x Grupo (Bloodsucker), 1x Ceska, and Bloody Knuckles. CHC 56% and CHD 160% or so with Elmo. Works fine in most combats (missions etc) but fails in challenging combats.
