#Siege special attack

For like a certain amount of time?
Yes, it would be needed for balance of course. I don’t know how timing should / would work but I think it would make a fun twist on siege
If you had it leave an impact spot that lasted for something like three seconds, and then if a troop went over it they would burn for two seconds then the troop could take at most 4 ticks of damage
Make it so that it can’t stack either
So if you walked over one impact spot and got the burning effect, you could walk over others without it getting trigger again until your first burning effect of 2 seconds ended
It also plays into the sort of siege launching fire history narrative, although it was less common in real life than they make it seem in movies
Right okay but if you wanna do that, naturally you would need a counterpart
Like gaining rage slowlier
Or reducing basic attack speed which would pretty much have the same effect
Maybe this could be added as part of a commanders skill or something
I was thinking the same thing
I can imagine a qsh type of rage consumption working

stop trying to make siege happen, it's not going to happen
You should stop talking
nah im good
Nerf QSH and STP then 😅
They already gain rage slower than others. There's zero rage generation in talents. Which is kinda funny. (I don't count talents Siege need to be hit to generate rage because at that point you're more likely losing.)
It should or could be part of a skill. A circular aoe that just adds a dot tick in an area around the target. However, this seems like an overly produced skill. It could just hit five targets and deal damage over time. 🤷
I'm all for getting new things for what I main but Engineering's biggest hurdle isn't damage, commanders, or even synergy, but it's inability to participate in the standard ebb and flow of battlefield movement. It has the most uphill battle for participation unlike it's competitors.
Just give Engineering a shifter formation with shorter range but the ability to fire while moving like they have in Shifting Gears, Keener Blades and Troy KvK’s just without the added march speed that Troy offers. Make sure there is no auto attack in this mode so there’s still some benefit to the V formation over shifter
Yeah, that's all we need. I wouldn't even expect our actives to deal 100% DF even in shifter, I'd still be fine with the 50% reduction if we have shifter.
No lol, the entire point was to power creep siege out of being obnoxious af
So now it’s time to power creep archers out of being obnoxious af 😮💨👍
That’s true. Ultimately they need to do something for ranged skill damage as V formation only buffs Gajah/cordoba and basically gives the middle finger to all other engineering commanders
Archers have literally 1 single good commander, calm down.
So do siege. And it’s only a fraction of the output. See the hypocrisy?
I'd love only having a QSH as siege. Wtf 😂
That guy equals most of the engineering roster.
You really do not understand how insanely unpopular fighting with and against siege is do you.
They power crept it to stop people mass quitting over it and made sure to never put out another strong siege commander as a result.
Siege being weaker now than at its peak is a very deliberate feature, not a bug.
It's also still heavily used, so it's clearly not just bad.
The reverse could be said.. there’s a whole community of people for which the addition of siege kept us from quitting 😮💨. Personally I rage dismantled my Cav gear when Beli prime was announced (another single target Cav) and deleted the game. Someone reached out to me on DC and said to give siege a chance before quitting. Here I am almost 2 years later still playing. The in and out in dot mode is so boring. Thank God for army groups recently added.
I haven’t seen anyone quit over siege 😂. The biggest “quit” factors I’ve seen are Pilots and frustration to keep up without dumping tens of thousands in the game.
There is a skill in Keener Blades that turns ranged basic attacks into mini QSH hits only with 3 targets.
Yet only one used is the one to hit structures to reduce durability
Yeah, problem is it's tucked away in a specific KvK story I have yet to play and likely won't play. What is a major annoyance is that really nice QoL or interesting mechanical things that could be neat skills even, are mostly out of reach for us.
