#Please Fix Combo Talent tree
96 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
ye cav is the tankiest unit in the game huh
Cavalry isn't more of a tank than infantry, far from it.
In the combo tree itself, there are passives that increase the damage you take, and this is the only passive that reduces the damage taken. Cav meta commanders have the "Skill" tree, with a passive that reduces 6% skill damage reduction of all types.
So 6% dmg reduction in combo tree is nothing too far from the current gameplay so I consider it a reasonable adjustment.
This is complaining for the sake of complaining.
Combo as a mechanic is insanely broken, by far the most broken damage type, and the combo tree is good.
They don't need it, literally
Combo is already stupid good
sarcasm
cav is the least spoiled ever now
and historically?
Anyways, they don't need 6% dmg reduction off the rip
nor do they need a buff to iron and steel
historical unbalance do not justify another, balancing meta with releases is what Lilith does
I find it really funny when ppl cry about how cavs are trash
how do you think archers felt for years?
Maybe its because their cav march does worst reports maybe
Take away qsh and cavs are good again
felt bad
and got QSH
so why complaining we get buffs
like
?
because you don't need buffs
you're getting new commanders
hopefully that'll fix it
you can't even compare the brokenness of delta vs wedge
or pincer vs wedge
right now they do, everyone running full marchs knowns what the worst march right now, its the lil cav one
Some even don't send it out
yeah, because there is no combo pair rn
but once there is it should change
so stop crying for another 2 months
think how archer players felt for 2 literal years trading at barely even
Well if combo releases turn out to be broken Id totally agree with you
Of course until next Infa release becomes a monster
with any luck it'll be a ww type release
its the cycle bud, things gotta balance thats it
hope not lol
hope so
honestly Id like all types to be as close in power as possible
that's where it gets more fun
you'd have to buff wedge for that to be true
I've read they doing another skilldmg formation in their QA
Im saving conversion stones
show me the data you base your opinion on
all you've done so far is "Blah Blah Blah" you haven't shown a single number for your claim.
Just by you saying that cavalry is more tanky than infantry already shows that you must not be an experienced player. 😅
If infantry is precisely the preferred choice for garrison precisely because of its greater ability to withstand damage and retaliate.
I base myself on numbers and data, and both show that combo is shit.
Show me something that justifies your criticism, otherwise I won't waste my time arguing.
Weak rage bait.
Tell me only one combo duo that is meta.
@desert depotFor you I don't even need to say many things but you are so stupid that you contradict yourself over and over again
"combo is stupidly strong" "combo is not strong because it has no commanders" 🤓
"Combo doesn't need buff because archer was bad for 2 years so cavalry has to be bad too" 🤓
kinda nice getting 3 stacks on the armaments on turn 1, a horn proc, and 81 rage extra rage from talents
Perfect now show me that same march performing better than any other cavalry march
turn 2 had a second horn proc and a ring proc
Can you just wait for a second commander?
can i have horn and ring proc with huo/arthur in the same way
I didn't know the ring only activated for combo commanders
thanks for the teaching
I don't think anyone thinks cavs have to be fixed by buffing combo tree to compensate for not having a proper combo commander. They need a new commander
So for you it's fair 10 seconds of combo cooldown for combo-focused commanders while Liu has 1 second
and more than twice the chance of triggering
Liu has fewer synergies with in armaments, gear, skills etc
So you're telling me that Liu's combo doesn't activate the ring and horn too?
Do people build Hilt for Liu Che? No
Horn?
Ring?
horn being active turn 1
and again on turn 2 🤓
again on turn 4
This is more common than it seems, besides not needing a combo for this, huo/arthu has an infinitely superior performance to any combo combination you can present
show me a combo combination that performs better than Huo and I'll delete this post now
but damn you guys are absolutely right 6% damage reduction would be very OP I'm sure it's completely far from reality... right?? 🤓
combo is too op omg 🤮
As Amthala said, mostly a complaining thread. The strength of commanders is entirely up to what damage factors the devs choose on commanders and probabilities don't need to match or surpass random inf commanders from 2 years ago. Arthur primary is clearly viable, otherwise I wouldn't be seeing him constantly in lineups. No, cavs are not in an acceptable state as a whole. The talent could be a lazy safeguard for future commander design, I don't know, ask the devs.
"Viable" I say again, show me Arthur as a primary combo commander having a better performance than Huo/Arthur, Nev/Arthur or even Huo/Joana and Nev/Joana
"Complaint thread" obviously after hearing that "cavalry is more tank than infantry" I was already having a heart attack at that point I didn't imagine hearing such nonsense
try opening a serious suggestion to hear a Random Guy saying that cavalry is more tank than infantry
I don't care about the future, I'm playing in the present and in the present combo is not viable,
yes there are a lot of idiots using Arthur as primary and all of them performing worse than Huo/Arthur
Yeah that was a bit silly
but you're right, I just edited the original post from 6% reduction to 3% reduction which is already the current reduction, but without the need to lose 50% of the troops
Its supposed to be for the future aswell. You can't keep going back and forth on changes to the game just to suit a game style
okay, make belisarius prime, the youtuber said that in the future it will be good
I will root for you, Good bye. 😘
And about your point on Arthur performing worse than Huo, obviously, because Huo/Arthur is the best cavalry march right now, but people run Arthur primary because Huo is a terrible investment nowadays.
Nobody said beli prime was good. everyone in the community agreed it was total trash and only used in aoo
When Beli was released, I made the same topic and you all came to insult me saying that he was the future of the cavalry and that in the future you would release a commander to pair with him.
This "it will be better in the future" doesn't work for me, I live in the present
I know the RoK community,
it's always the same thing for years, it never changes.
Especially when it comes to commanders, the community defends them until the end of the world, no matter how bad the commander is.
I swear to you that if I make a topic asking for a buff to a commander like Artemisia, some idiot will appear saying that she is super broken OP and with him, a bunch of other people will come along saying the same thing.
I'd say they screwed up the transition to combo damage. Moreso than smite.
Whatever though I'm seeing Shapur Nevsky rallies in my KvK and Arthur/LC field pairs
And I'm seeing whales use 3 cav
And Nevsky wont go away
Is that because he's too good or because other cavs are too bad?
Idk I have 4 cavalry duos now, but I'll dismantle the equipment and just keep Huo/Arthur
insisting on this unit is a waste of time and resources when obviously infantry and arc have a much more promising future
At least now it will return 100% of the materials since almost everything has spec
Well, that's it, I'll close this topic. Thanks for the discussion, at least you showed something relevant that's different from other people. 😊
