Puzzle box do only level one
Esmereldas house best for material value, but worse than egg overall
Egg event best for blueprint, also good for materials
Hunt for history not worth gems, the bundles are decent. Save hammers if you don't have enough for 5 floors

Materials in VIP shop are good value if you're a higher spender, buy them during more than gems if possible

But are even pretty good in non mtg if you're 100 spinning house and egg already

There is also sometimes a wheel, esmereldas prayer, that's insane value but doesn't come often
