It's worth, if you think you don't need those gems for commander/equipment development. That 50% healing speed is huge for open field.

Practically speaking if u can advance ur VIP lvl at all just do it cause ur way behind every other old account that has VIP 18 already which provides huge advantages with the troop capacity alone.

Not really comparable, one is affecting ur damage output which syncs with your infantry attack and health is survivability. So it's really just at the end of the day do you want to take less units loss per turn vs dealing more dmg output.
