takes too long, and early trouble are more than enough for me tbh
my enemy pushed the level 1 pass to my territory attacked my fortress, i cut his flag path, took the pass and trapped their troops inside my territory
left them stuck there around 750k t2 mostly, but some of them kept doing barbarians until they died and passed through the level 1 pass like not even there
then they stopped me from burning their fortress, because they had reinforcements also their main generals are back on road
the rest were slaughtered later, because they were unable to fight
like a cage match
was pretty upset that they could take their troops back by simply doing barbarians and dying, or attacking cities

could be a better way defeating non stop reinforcements on the gates
i have noticed that reinforcing like that by replacing could lead to more loss which is a disadvantage if the enemy doesn't do what you're doing
so why not let them have it, and prepare another rally attack until they get tired from all the losses
i was building a fortress few days ago with around 1200k troops, most of them were t3, i got attacked by much more powerfull and more numbers, we lost like 150k dead they lost 650k dead
wait let me see if i still have the report
they kept replacing their army over and over until we lost it
however, we did not do that, and since they lost too many, after few hours we built another fortress and they were not even able to defend themselves anymore and surrendered
that's nearly 300k dead in difference, their troops however were much more valuable than ours
when we built the fortress after it, they just couldn't afford it anymore, so maybe try something like that in kvk, let them win the gate, prepare field troops to deny their push, and launch a new rally attack on the pass
