i mean it would be a forum anyway, but having a thread dedicated would further limit the channels activity even worse than #1019655162580701184 or #1106150463499411497 already are
probably a better idea to have popular sports (soccer/football, f1/racing, basketball, baseball, then just an "other" category) as tags for the channels rather than a separate thread, then, just like the other thread hobbies, have a "#general" pinned thread.
i like this idea though, wild to me it hasn't been suggested before or even just implemented entirely

We've added gamers, artists, musicians because they're a. very close and/or related to game development which is the central "topic" of the server
I love sports myself, but idk if having a specific place for it makes sense :)

Why not make a channel for every forums that's not related to Gamedev? Like Sports, Studies, Literature, yes Ik #📚-studies exists but I don't think people can even have the role for it atm and it's not active anyways

idk if the channel is still here or not, literature could also fall into that
the more niche you get, the less active these channels are
this server has already fallen significantly more inactive due to Danis absence and while, yeah, it'll probably pickup significantly when he uploads since there's probably gonna be an everyone ping, it's still struggling to pickup in #✅-general let alone the forums
idk if it's the main problem, but the forum implementation, while a great use of it, has definitely slowed chatting
(tbh the only channel imp that should use forums is a studies channel, and the tickets created by staff tickets)
