Hold control or shift to choose which direction you want to rotate it (x y or z directions) then use the scroll wheel on your mouse instead of pressing R and it will turn diagonally and slowly

That would be nice. I didn't even know there was an undo button in the level editor until someone told me you can just do Ctrl z. Some features are hard to figure out because its not clear
