The only problems I have with the current ai is that it mostly just runs towards you and do not attempt to cut you off and it’s very easy

You are literally describing an old AI that was very broken at launch, wasn't the best, and didn't even try to catch you at all, and didn't even cut you off in places, and would freeze each 5 seconds (making it impossible for the enemy to catch you)
