i’ve heard this suggestion before, but i dont recall it ever being in detail or being an actual post, plus i would love for scary to have a different ability besides rage since its so combat based, and this would be a pretty cool callback to hn1, so here goes.👻

This would be similar to bear traps in terms of placing them, but you can only place them on walls. however you DO have a limit on how many cameras you can have at a time, the limit would be 10-15 at a time, whichever one seems more balanced. and they have a cooldown and cannot be placed very near each-other, to prevent spamming them.

These cameras would detect kids for the neighbor like they do in hn1, when a kid gets detected, the “beep” noise would play and the neighbor gets a red icon of where the camera is.

To kids, the area of affect of the camera would be visible, however it is transparent and somewhat hard to see if you aren’t being careful. the cameras can be taken down by kids.

The cameras can be swapped between two modes by the neighbor, stationary and moving.
The stationary cameras would be still and the area of effect wouldnt move, this would be good for guarding certain closed in spots.
The moving cameras would have the area of effect moving side to side, which would be good for open areas.

If the camera limit has been reached, he cant place anymore. But he can still move existing cameras freely.

the camera model would be different than the lucy event cameras already in the game, to avoid confusion.

inventor would have an ability to “reprogram” cameras to tell where the neighbor is instead whenever he enters the radius,this will also make the radius harder to see for the neighbor, doing this would cost 4 gears, the neighbor can also reprogram the cameras back, however it takes a bit of time.
