i fill like the guest should come in the day time too but mostly stalking you and following you but at night time he or she should be able to get you, also the guest could stop you from breacking into other peoples houses

I mean not really, it was hinted he might follow you at night in a devlog, but since it was never officially added into a game it's not out of place. In the alphas he would attack during the day.

Also from what I recall alex bassically confirmed it wasnt even the actual town but some sort of underworld (probably guest world but I like to call it the nest) Him wandering a populated town while being some sort of cryptid would be out of place and out of character for him
