why??

-Nicky Roth's house being in front of Mr. Peterson's house because it isn't there and could mess with continuity.
its weird that they have his treehouse but not his actual house ingame

Well, the Museum doesn't really fit his character and having it as his home just doesn't feel right.

he is running from the cops and the museum is abandoned

it doesnt make sense for him to be anywhere else

Well, it is right about the Museum being his hideout, but what if someone or something sent a note to the police to check the museum and he quickly leaves to find a new hideout.
