great idea because having to buy the game on every platforms or re-buy every cosmetics and all to play with friends... it's annoying so crossplatform would be really great i think

They cannot do crossplay on steam. It's one thing to do console line up in terms of update but it's another to make sure the servers are cross play.

Steam has the editor, which is an exclusive feature that wouldn't work on console due to the steam workshop simply not existing on there and it'd take too much work to just make their own map hosting thing or remove it. Then there's graphical stuff, which is another reason why crossplay can't work due to certain effects being strainy on consoles like the Switch.
