Scissors and Key 3 swapped

There's a bug where the scissors are replaced by key 3 for the basement basically soft locking me and no i didn't do anything to cause this to happen i'm just playing the game normally

Having the same issue...
My daughter is playing this on her switch and when she goes to the tree house to get the scissors there is a key in the train station instead of scissors????
Can anyone help us figure this out? She's restarted and everything...

This is not a glitch, the Nintendo Switch build runs on a older build of the game so some puzzles and things are swapped and such. You don't even need the scissors in the switch version which is why it isnt there. Hope this helps!

(You dont need the scissors because you never go upstairs in the switch version, like the demo)

then how do i get the 5th key to exit the basement also WHAT? why would it be a older build that makes no sense

but theres a problem after act one i need the scissors to progress in act two

The switch is most likely an older build because the full versions graphics or something couldn't run on the switch or they were in a rush to port the game to all platforms

the switch is not a game with a lot of performance like ps4/5 and xbox, and it probably lagged when they tested it, so they needed to switch some things up, so it removes lag

@rustic siren where in the bakery are the scissors? Just realized switch version is different.

@slim otter will there be a patch for switch version? Difficult to play with the glitches due to different versions.

likely same reason switch version of hn1 is one of the earliest builds where the neighbor can noclip through walls
