The ability to set your map size. I'm sure some people are insane enough to make even bigger maps than currently possible.

Teleporters (for mapping fun perhaps you can even turn these things on or off and have kids use them in brawl)
Vending Machine.
Perhaps some exclusive Level Editor items, like the popcorn from the brawl thing.
I recommended in the past the ability to make 'events' but i figure this maybe a bit much, so perhaps more item interactions, like the shovel which can dig on a certain floor terrain for puzzles.

I know i have a few more but that's all i can think of for the moment.

Basement stuff

Add the basement door back to the editor.
customizeable basement zones (maybe highlighted in the editor with the hologram texture.
and finally, the ability to dig out underground sections to make basements, maybe the maximum depth should be somewhere around 7-8 tiles before hitting the edge.

1.) Foliage in LE maps - a lot of the maps look bland and ugly outside because of the lack of grass flowers and trees. I think having an option to place foliage in places on the map and having the ability to place trees would make this better
2.) More assets - add the Exit sign on map 5 to the LE along with the double doors to the theater on map 5 and the double doors to the shed on map 1 to the LE. Also add other missing assets, like circle windows, metal fences, the roller coaster cart on map 5, all the cabinets and roof types, etc (also adding the bear traps you can place somewhere in the map in LE would be cool)
3.) Custom item spawn settings for maps - have maybe like a tab in the LE menu that has sliders that increase or decrease things like: item spawns on cabinets, places keys and keycards can spawn
