Quick Version: The neighbor had a family of four. Him, his wife, Diane, his son Aaron, and his daughter Mya. I'm going to explain Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek up till Hello Neighbor. One day, Theodore (The neighbor) goes for a ride with Diane and crashes into a nearby pizza truck. (Seen in act one of Hello Neighbor.) Diane dies in the hospital. Two days later, Theodore comes home and informs his kids about the loss. Theodore falls into a deep depression and Aaron becomes aggressive. Mya tries to cheer Aaron up by playing hide-and-seek, but she soon meets her end when during one of these games, Aaron accidentally pushes Mya off of the roof of their house. Theodore buries Mya in the backyard and locks Aaron in the basement to protect him. Nicky Roth passes by Theodore's house just as Aaron is being locked away. He breaks into the basement where he is captured. he soon escapes. I won't explain act three because it doesn't really count toward the actual story. Nicky is in a nightmare the entire time. What I think is going to happen is this:
You begin at the barn, taking pics of the guest, and it cuts to the intro. Game begins, and you play it and you complete it. Once you get close to the end of the game, you see a familiar sequence, Quentin breaking into the barn and taking pics of the guest. The guest catches him, then a white flash appears and then you see the neighbor's car coming right at you. You experience the same things you experienced at the start. Then, you figure out that you're stuck in a time loop. End game.

What I think is that this is going to happen once you complete the main quest

But theres also the side quests: Discovering the secrets of the citizens(eg. Mayor's study and Taxidermist's attic)

what I think you're gonna find there are those gems we saw in book 7
Marcia Tillman says that the gems are pieces to something bigger and you need to put together all of em to restore the clock(break the loop)

and once you collect everything and put them together, its gonna break the time loop and you're gonna realize that its the year 2022
