Well the kids never went into the basement, so they don't what's down there. But the police tape shows that the police did find the fake room, which is why there is tape there. This also proves more that HN2 alpha 2 is between act 1 and 2 as well. The police haven't searched the basement yet, and we know they do after the neighbor flees from his home, the police footage of them going inside. Nicky has actually escaped already when he flees, he probably called the police which is why they drove there in the first place, then the neighbor is "missing" but later he is wanted after they find the fake rooms, also the wanted poster proves that too. Who knows where Aaron goes after ||his dad flees to go get the guest suit most likely||

The first picture shows Quentin driving down the road he walked on during the stream where he stops by the neighbor's blue house. In the next one Quentin is shown stopping infront of his work place, which is picture 2. We know the manor is right across the street from his work place. So in the footage of the neighbor fleeing, which is the 3rd picture, he drives on the other direction, which is where is exit to Raven Brooks is. (I know this because I matched the scenery of where Quentin is driving from at the beginning of the AI trailer) I literally wrote all this just to show the neighbor drove away from the manor even though he ends up at it anyway. So there was no point to this. Guess i'm just bored.
