||Mr. Peterson grows up with his parents and his friend Ike in Raven Brooks, he gets a degree in engineering then goes around the world building themeparks and things go wrong, he gets married and has 2 kids, Aaron and Mya. They move to Germany, stuff goes wrong, they move to Raven Brooks. Aaron discovers forest protectors, his friend Lucy Yi dies, then a supposedly dead guy comes back after everyone thought he died. Couple years later Nicky moves in, makes friends with Aaron, then Diane, Aaron's mom dies. Then Aaron and Mya are "kidnapped", Nicky looks for them. During this, Mya dies, and Aaron is a big crybaby about it. Mr. Peterson blames Aaron for everything that happened in all his themeparks and with Mya. Nicky eventually loses his friends because they think he's weird. He finds out Mya died through a VHS tape, and then he breaks in to Mr. Peterson's house. He gets kidnapped with Aaron for a month. He escapes, and then presumably moved out leaving his friends behind. Sometime after that is HN2 and Act 3, and the New Book, but we aren't sure yet.||

||Long time ago there was the Tavish family, an Uber rich family full of money. The next part is my own assumption of the timeline(s). They find Gammy Flo, a person who had accidentally made Golden Apples (a candy), and gave her a bunch of money to start the Golden Apple Corporation, a company that mass produces Golden Apples. Eventually the observatory and these "devices" are made, that are able to manipulate people's luck, and possibly more. A cult has also formed around people who use these devices, called the Forest Protectors, who bring feathered costumes to the observatory to manipulate the luck, this is called a ritual. the 1960s we have 2 important people, Norman Darby, a reporter, and Gordon Cleave, his boss. It's presumed afterward that Norman Darby is dead. Fast forward again and we come to Theodore Peterson's (The Neighbor) grandparents, graduates from university who came to Raven Brooks to investigate it's weird weather in the weather station (Mayak). They manage to excavate a device and presumably use it to study the storms, but end up discovering too much of Tavish property that they end up being arrested. They then proceed to bury the devices in the ground hoping no one discovers them again. Childhood friend of Ted (Theodore) Ike does discover them though and stores the pieces in his wallet.||

Let's talk about the evidence. The books give us a lot of evidence towards this theory. Now, as we know, Aaron killed Mya by accident, by shoving her off the roof. Aaron was locked into the basement afterwards, for unknown reasons. In the books there are some times that talk about Aaron being a little too shadowed. Nicky watched a tape he found and it was a video of Diane and Theodore dancing with Aaron sitting on a couch next to them, Mya was video taping. During this part of the book, Aaron is described as being "Heavily shadowed" Interesting... There's another time, in the third book, after Nicky is in the basement, he finds Aaron there and he is described as being a shadow. So, I have some more things proving this. In act 3 we can see the neighbor's house is burnt down. I think that Aaron had burnt the house down in an attempt to kill Theodore in the process. However, as we know, Theodore survived.The house burning was Aaron's last resort of escaping. He was trying to kill Theodore and himself. He was killed by the fire, and he was then put into purgatory where he was then turned into the Shadow Man. Shadow Man is Aaron's soul and it was "peaking out" while he was alive. The Shadow Man was Aaron's evil side of his soul. Once Aaron died he went full evil. He came back to get revenge, that's why Theodore and Nicky are both scared of him, they're the only ones that can see him because he's haunting them. Shadow man is basically an evil soul made of nightmares. This is exactly why act 3 exists. Nicky fell asleep and Shadow Man went into his head and put together all of his deepest nightmares. Nicky had these nightmares when he was a kid too because Aaron always had this power
