Personally I think games like HN2 are way more reliable than games like HN1, HNVR, HE etc, because Quentin’s an adult who isn’t going to get lifelong trauma by investigating some creepy guy, but the kids might, so I think HN2 is the highest reliability source in games, then games that include Rescue Squad which aren’t as reliable but have multiple witnesses, maybe even Hide and Seek, and then there’s Nicky’s Diaries and HN1 which are one person’s extremely distorted memories which are vaguely reliable, all canon, just perceived in different ways
