If you go where it was in Act 3 it (along with the Gas Station nearby) are completely missing from the map

and in Act 2 it also seems to be missing but it's hard to tell when you can hardly see over the Fences

HN1 is probably the game that paid the most attention to the little details

Are way different, so yeah Gameplay is just not canon, and the HN2 Map isn’t different because of timelines it’s just different because they couldn’t get a good map, and also because there’s no way to make something one to one accurate anyways so they just have been making their own versions.

@silver vine @wicked heath, I don’t know why this discussion got brought back up since this was finished a while ago, but if Gameplay Is Canon, that means every version of Nicky’s house is somehow canon together, every HN game map layout is canon, every G.A.A.P. Version is canon, HN2 and HN1s map are canon, Act 2 would then be Canon entirely, same with Act 3, any layout in any HN game is now simultaneously canon, and ETC, I don’t get why this was even brought back up, Story and Lore Exploration (something of actual Lore Value that works) of sorts are Canon, but Gameplay isn’t, that was the only good way to fix issues and still have story and Lore make sense, so Book 3 still works fine, recently random thing just start randomly getting questioned again and it’s getting really annoying now.

I don’t get why everyone is treating stuff automatically true and blaming the creators of the theories as responsible, literally not once have I stated that The Guest was in fact a demon, I’ve only referred and was the only good way to explain The Guest in AS, and fix plot holes in the game, same with E.O.M. to the gameplay thing, ever since the beginning, I've always felt that the gameplay is canon, everything we do in the game is canon to us, but it doesnt matter in the broader story, the fact that the last chapter of book 3 is literally just a walkthrough guide of act 1 just solidified my belief that the gameplay is canon, afterall, why would it not be canon, its a major part of the game, gameplay is what makes the game enjoyable, why should it not be canon? I know that some things dont make sense, but, does it have to? this is just a video game, gameplay doesnt have to make sense, you cant say gameplay isnt canon cuz it doesnt make sense

I just use HN2 as the canon house layout as it has the least contradictions to other pieces of media

The Kitchen has a door that leads outside

The first floor is mostly consistent with HN1's layout

Basement I just use this as the "canon" layout as we don't know how much of the HNVR Basement is real but I'm using how much is seen before Guest World Skybox can be seen as a reference point (I colorcoded each of the rooms but I didn't have enough space to copy the Color-codes into the actual finalized combined map

but yeah at this point Layout changes make books non-canon

not to mention the AS Lore through the power of cartoon logic contradicts it's own exteriors

GAAP's existence on a map in a HN Game relies on how big the map is and where the map is in the town

In HN1 the GAAP is barely cut off

in SN the GAAP is there because it's imagination so they could shift it however they wanted to

in HG we're at the GAAP

in HNHS you can't even look in the direction the GAAP should be in based off the HN1/HG Map to see if it's there

in HND I don't remember if we see the GAAP but I don't think we do due to how far it is compared to other locales we can see

in HN2 the map is small enough it gets cut off even tho we know where it should be in the map

but does that mean these maps are/aren't canon? depends

I personally view a mix of what HN1 and the Books tell us as canon

With adding new locales based off where they're likely are in the HN1 map like Otto's House is near the lake or the Mayor's House is by that Park Bench in the HN1 Map behind the player's house

And if this is just constant retcon, I doubt, sure yeah certain layouts are Canon as they are reused, but not always, so I’d say sure things can be considered Canon, but if that retcons the source material it works but if it’s just constant retcon change, I doubt, they have to keep it non consistent to allow for the game to be different, via meaning certain parts would just have to be retconned over and over again, but there are things that can’t be considered Canon, for Example RB itself in each game.

Another thing I wanted to clear up is, HNVR is AS or HN2 is Old Lore, No, let’s start off with the bases, if HN2 is Old Lore or either HNVR is AS, that would create plot holes everywhere, especially with character like The Guest assuming E.O.M. (Entity Of Manifestation) Is right when it comes to the character (Most Likely is), that’s right off the start for HN2 leading up to Chapter 2, now like stated before HN2 has some evidence on both side pointing the game being either Lores (Mostly because they are tenants or placeholders from Old HN2, which is Pre-AS Takeover), so let’s look at the lead up to the game A.K.A. VR, If HNVR is AS and Ted dragged Aaron, that would create more plot holes, first off, Ted was manipulated and wouldn’t have been there so that would’ve created a massive Plot Hole in between those segments, Second how would Ted drag Aaron into The Nest, let’s say they were already in The Nest, it still wouldn’t work, because how did they get out then? So that would be another Plot Hole In between the Segments of that end scene and the beginning of HN2, and also along with the things Alex spoiled such as Nicky instead saving Aaron and ETC, HNVR is definitely Old Lore, and HN2 is AS, there would also be Mini Plot Hole problems missing such as Ted being Sleep Deprived or the Hurricane (Seen in SN) which could possibly happened in the game with the Background House parkour being renovations along with “The Guest is Coming Teaser” but even then that’s just a single Plot Hole being fixed out of the many, anyways I hope soon people can stop doing the “Changing/Not believing the obvious” (Or how I like to say it: “Starting at Rick and Calking it something else”), when it comes to the Lore of both AS AU and Old Lore AU, also it’s pretty much impossible to fix any Plot Holes if either one of the games were the opposite AU, people can believe what they can, but you can’t argue something that’s obvious or fact.
