However the more likely theory about Alpha Lore is what we call Coma Theory which I think you can guess a bit of what it is at least

and this is the main piece of evidence for Coma Theory, this piece of concept art (+ a teaser trailer that clearly leads into the concept art) that seems to imply a part of the early story

The Theory is that the events of the game is a coma, the Neighbor is... depends on interpetation but the common interpetation is that he's the Devil himself, the Basement is either Heaven or awakening from the Coma and the ending of Alpha 1 is the Neighbor sending the Player to Hell
