I was talking original canon and if it's a retcon or not, now we've just gone to using AS to prove something from old lore's not been retconned

But yeah in AS universe HE probably happens after Act 2

But in Old Lore it's more likely to be before Act 2, as that works with what the game shows (Nicky Missing Posters, lack of Nicky anywhere else in the game indicating but not confirming him still being missing)

Just add it to the pile of stuff AS Retconned

I'm not arguing HE's placement in new lore other then the slight possibility of them putting it in-between episodes and using that to explain why they've skipped 2 months forward in the timeline

(assuming Act 2's placement relative to Act 1 is the same as in Old Lore)

But they could also just skip time and not explain why

If we're talking original lore, HE is before Nicky escapes, the squad never saves him and his missing posters are still around during HE and he's not with the squad at all during the game. If we're talking new lore it would be after, because now the squad saves Nicky.
