Way back when Hello Guest was around, I thought maybe after Nicky escapes in act 2, Peterson burns down his own house to hide all the evidence, then goes into hiding into the forest. Would explain the burnt house at the start of act 3.

But right now it seems all over the place. The demos/ betas won’t be 100% canon of course, but still. It’s hard to theorize what will happen.

Also what happened to the neighbors parents, didn’t we see them before in reels hidden in SN?

The only canon parts of HE are the cutscenes of entering parts of the park (they imagine them wackier than they really are, and they don't actually make cars and machines), them going to different places in each area to eventually get the specific part they need, the lobby, their van, and I guess sandbox since that's where they end up in the ending. (You see their dream car in sandbox all broken so they've been there for a while after the ending)
