I thought about it a bit from Alex's Side and no matter what Alex did here it'd be bad, since the company is near Bankruptcy and 2 Million Dollars (especially when counting that End of Year Bonuses exist) will be burnt out fast Alex had to find a way to not lose that 2 Million, but no matter what he cut off People were going to get mad, and he couldn't wait until later or else he'd have already lost all the Money put into the Company
I am not saying this is good by any means
