Id say inventor because you can craft 1 and 2 key cards without having to find them. You can also open neighbor gates pretty early. You can craft a pan flashlight which saves a slot and protects you. The gun wont be crafted much but will one shot anything. And the hammer can be used to throw something at the neighbor. So with the inventor you can easily get around the house and find keys, but also defend yourself.(and there is many gears in the map)
