1st of all rage doesn’t last a year and once it’s done you can escape.
2nd of all you can hold your items to make sure rage doesn’t charge all the way and just use your baseball bat to defend yourself from flying objects
3rd of all Butcher has such a large hit box it would be harder to miss so you can easily hit him as long as your pretty close range

too add my own point, i'd say that scary neighbor is the class you should usually just run away from if you're alone. in theory, scary has the least amount of tools to chase after kids if rage isnt activated. he has less stamina than butcher, no hook, his best options are to either throw items (which good players CAN dodge) or turn into a kid form to have somewhat even ground with infinite stamina
