I don't think much thought was put into the punishment system because you're being placed in a lobby with people that are more likely to leave and you're more likely to lose, so let's say you don't get to be the neighbour and a person leaves: you have a pretty low chance of winning that, no? What if you queue into a cheater and they cause you to lose the game: you have to queue until you win with longer queue times and with teammates that, again, are more likely to leave. I could see it working if you didn't have to win your game
What if you disconnect unexpectedly and what if your game crashes which isn't even rare on SN? Punished, must win a game with the odds against you
What if you're a complete newbie that leaves a game and you struggle to win even if the odds are in your favour?
And it keeps stacking and stacking, it's ridiculous
It's probably just driving people away from your game, I don't think SN has the player count to be enforcing longer queue times

The 2019 is actually the tree growing to the right of the house suggesting its a real tree. The 2020 is most likely a fake tree since the neighbor did not have time to grow a new one, as the 2019 tree rotted away. Thats why the 2020 tree is ugly and the 2019 look cleaner.
