It kinda depends on how you're playing. If you're not using your kid disguise, then they have someone to jump. If you're disguised, they don't know it's you. And you can absolutely be stealthy and use the disguise, that's my neighbour playstyle and it usually works.

But in a lot of my games, the kids split up in one of two ways:
The neighbour dies, so everyone runs off on their own.
Or, we're fighting in one place and nobody is going for keys. So someone has to leave and get them, or we lose (and nobody else seems to want to get any because they're fighting).

And fight ms are way too common in this game that supposed to be a stealth game
My problem is they give you the option to play stealthly as the neighbor but if the kids are playing offensively they almost always overpower you unless you also start playing offensively
And there is no incentive for the kids to play a stealthy play style when its much easier to bully the neighbor or be in groups and attack him
Only when it's down to the last few players is stealth actually useful against the neighbor

Don't rely on the rifle and combat is the main thing I believe. You got other tools at your disposal like manually closing gates and keycard doors to help separate or stop people from running away. If I recall Taxidermist has lower health in terms of being Neighbor so it's best to play it smart rather than rushing in and repeatedly reloading and firing.

The game isn't confused. You're on the same level as that player. So it will show you both are on the same place on the leaderboard regardless of XP, but once you level up, you leave 50th place

The map is separated into 4 areas - areas 0 through 3. 1-3 need a keycard, usually only found in the previous area. And each area is separated by keycard doors.
Keys don't spawn in area 0, so go through a keycard door before you look for keys.

If you're on the map with a fireplace next to the basement door, the library to the left of you when you spawn and two number 1 doors in the main room that don't lead to the really tall stairs (map 1 in the custom game list), then check the bathroom (left keycard door, turn right into the door before the stairs).

It's not as good as the main game, IMO, and it's not an identical copy of it (the main SN upgraded to the HN2 style, but the Roblox one didn't). But it works, and it's free, so, worth a try.
For characters, it's missing Journalist, Ghost, Guest and Taxidermist.

Depends on your playstyle!
Sneaky? IMO, Clown, use the item disguise to hide. The smoke bombs help if you get found out too.
Butcher or Taxidermist if you play aggressive - take advantage of the gates (interact with clocks to use them) if you play either of those, because they're Butcher's biggest help and Taxidermist can remote control them.
Then Scary Neighbor is somewhere in between. Tank some hits to charge your rage, then use it a few seconds after grabbing a kid. It won't last the whole time you've grabbed them, so you want to activate it a little after grabbing someone, not before or straight away. If you time it right, it's a guaranteed catch.
Scary's disguise is helpful, and you can make it work, but play against anyone in a party and it loses its effectiveness somewhat.
Guest can be good too, and Ghost's ability to block doors is great. But I only play Clown, so I don't have advice.

I play on Xbox PC mostly (so Microsoft Store, not Steam, but still on PC), and there's a mix. Some games are high level players, but a fair amount of time there's mostly green badge (low level) players.
