the problem with this is that you can't accurately detect camping. like imagine if a neighbor puts a glue and bear trap in front of the basement door, meaning you'd be stuck in front of it for a short bit, the game possibly deeming you as 'camping' even though it was a trap set up by someone else

i do think camping needs to somehow have a penalty, but when it comes to stuff like this I have to look through the perspective of how this might work in execution.

The main problem with Secret Neighbor is majority of players fight the neighbor instead of trying to defend themselves and run away. All they need to do is add something for the neighbor where he can counter kids who fight the neighbor as a group.

But they’ll should still be punishments for Neighbor going against a group blindly or without care, which can make him die.

Bagger is only good to be used as a shield for taxidermist’s toy shotgun because he has 150 health and he can get an extra 10% he can get damage resistance that reduces damage by 8% and he can get stun resist by 8% making him an absolute tank and the shield He’s also only good for being used as bait because he slows down the neighbor and be purposely used to instantly beat the neighbor by purposely letting yourself get grabbed and letting yourself get free by your teammates until the neighbor has to retreat or until he runs out of health

Bagger has been nerfed so badly since he lost his 4th slot that he’s got nothing good now but being used as a shield and bait

Honestly, now that I have been going against lots of Taxidermist players, he’s pretty easy to counter as a solo.

All you have to do when you see him is just run away as far as you can and let him waste bullets that do little to no damage to you and he’ll waste time reloading his gun, giving you a chance to lose sight of him.

At least that’s how most Taxidermist players are in my experience

The main problem with the title of sn is that the neighbor is not really a secret. You can tell that a specific person is the neighbor by just looking at their username, that's the big takeaway from the whole "be a mysterious neighbor". If they would've removed usernames in-game, it would've made the match way more mysteriously.

I personally think that idea is terrible. Think about it sure it’s 10 explorers versus two neighbors but that’s still two neighbors that could have rage or even toy shotgun camping the basement the whole time but at that point they were probably already a penalty system where if you stand near the basement, as for too long, you just get disconnected from the match and given the penalty

Agree, they should balance it out a bit but ONLY for the 2v12 mode. 2v12 mode’s changes will have: damage of throwing items at neighbors will be reduced, cooldowns for kids abilities will be increased to avoid the high likely of getting combo’d (same goes for the Neighbors). Another way of making this mode balanced is limiting what type of explorer/neighbor they can play. For example, The Guest and Taxidermist will not be allowed in 2v12.
