The lighting has been on decline for years now, and this is the worst its ever been. There isn't shadows or fog, and yes it will be improved in the future when they finish it but I'm talking about right now. They also added a new art style which they worked hard on but did not finish either, still many hn1 items that feel out of place and some of the textures could have more variety (looking at you wood_07), not being super nit picky but it looked better before when it wasn't mixed art. So basically they are making good lighting but left us with the worse one yet, and they tried adding a new artstyle but instead left it mixed art. Then their is balancing. The balancing in the game is pretty bad and each update it has made the game in the kid's favor only (except this past update with the stamina change for kids was nice), but after hearing yesterday that the game will likely stay close to the balancing its at now just kind of made me a little upset, I get they want to do how the general community wants to play, but the general community just loves box spamming the neighbors apparently so ita become a play style that the devs view as intended now. I would have a problem if stealth was also a playstyle but it doesn't work if the kids are combat and you are stealth, they can just kill you easily (like if you play clown). And sooo many mechanics are only in favor of the kids. For example silent catching, you'd think you'd let the neighbor get away with a kill easily since catching kids that stick together is already hard, but they make the shhhh so loud purposefully so kids can rescue, and then back in the never ending loop of combat. They say they want to focus on kid Cooperate more which is good but if you want kids who stick together to always have the upper hand, but you won't give neighbors tools to split the kids up then how is the neighbor ever going to have a fair gain at catching them? Anyway as for the update it would be good if it was actually finished
