Some people do use mics, there's also a bug where if you're the last one in the quick game you can't hear or talk to anyone
And some people like me, just use mics occasionally, or only after we see others have mics too

1: if you don't transform immediately, the kids will rush getting keys and half the game is already over in a few minutes if you don't interfere
2: stealth is just literally pointless because again, no sound occlusion and everyone likes to stick together
