The prototype about time travel.
It has similar essence: fixed time frame, bunch of dynamic characters trying to reach their goals as a part of system-based sandbox, while player learns how things work and apply this knowledge to achieve desired outcome.
The difference is that in time travel game, player could travel to any point in time withing given time frame and past versions of the player are still present on a map (just like in time travel films) and if you meet with yourself -> game over.

i personally like the head anatomy that some characters have. Like with the Guest, whenever he looks with his head positioned normally, his beak faces upwards. And with Signed, when he looks downwards his sign face faces towards you. I find it really cool how some of the enemies' heads work in HN3

I have a small bit of feedback which isn't really major, it might not be an issue at all in the future but I think it would be better if some of the buildings were hidden deeper into the woods because I really liked how in Prototype 1 and 2 there were more paths that led into the dark which I think the game would benefit from because it would add more Guest gameplay. But that's just a small bit of feedback, it's not really anything that major.

hello nikita! just wanted to say i am inlove with HN3 and i have been ever since prototype 3 released. every time a new version releases i get the biggest obsession with the game. i love the artstyle, the atmosphere and the overall unhomely feel of the game. When ernest was announced as a character, i honestly became really happy for a few hours and it brightened my day up. I will continue to support the game no matter what goes on. 🙂

I'll try and break it down. He made Hello Neighbor, because it was the first project for the team with a lot of passion despite its flaws, all the people who worked on it were worn out after the release.

Without a break, they began work on HN2 (Hello Guest at the time) which was probably not his call from what I gather from the devlog and over the course of development, more ideas and other sorts of things got in the mix which made development even harder. Eventually, Nikita fully burnt out and made the hard decision to step down and Eerie Guest went on without him.

It took over a year for him to recover from the burn out and he spawned the idea of HN3 which he feels really passionate about so he reunited with Eerie Guest to begin the online portion of it (RBO) however, none of them have worked on a multiplayer game before which caused development to be really slow (as in, literally unacceptably slow) so they canned the online idea and stuck purely to the single player and focus on this system based open world sandbox idea and the rest is history.

I'm gonna give you some advice to have a better time playing the game and figuring out what to do.

Don't rush, if you rush you're going to end up missing certain clues or hints that may be important.

Make sure to check the objective tab, this will allow you to know what places you may need to go to find one of Bob's notes and find other important items that you may need.

Don't try to break every single locked door and window, if there's a locked door, try to find another way in and to save your crowbars for when you will actually need them.

Make sure to be sneaky, if you just run around the houses the NPCs will find you easier and immediately attack you so be sneaky instead.
