Mr. Nikita, I have a question: Why don’t the prototypes work like the alphas of Hello Neighbor 1 and 2, being their own games and available on Steam all the time?

HN1 went through a lot of changes during development

most builds from the alpha era were usually different

same for HN2's case

for HN3 though, instead of doing something where they have an entirely original map for each alpha

it's just a work-in-progress build of the full game

I can't answer for NIkita but

I can say from what I have speculated about this franchise

every time a new map has to be made that's more development time being wasted

so everytime they changed the map and had to spend time on a new map instead of the gameplay mechanics that does two things

it makes every new map worse than the previous one

rarely does it ever make it better outside of like one version each

it also makes it to where they can't focus on the gameplay mechanics and the NPC AI

also there's the fact that it creates a split between the fanbase
some may prefer how Hello Neighbor 1 or 2 used to be during their alpha days, and some may prefer how they released

that kind of split is inherently unhealthy for every kind of media

so by them not fundamentally changing the game each and every update outside of trying to get ONE single vision completed, you practically keep the fanbase surrounding that game less split

because ultimately all versions would be the same, just that the older versions are going to become worse and worse as the newer versions make the game more completed and polished (as well as keeping the lore hidden for obvious reasons)

I know that was like alot of stuff to say but there really was not a way I could keep it short yet also keep these potential reasons easy to understand

If he said next week, it could be March 27th, although that's a possible theory, but it makes sense. First, prototype 1 was released on February 27th, which seems normal, but it's not. Prototype 2 came out on May 27th, which makes some sense because he said next week. Today is the 23rd, tomorrow is the 24th, 25th, 26th, and 27th. The 27th is a Friday; or possibly the 30th. they should connect the dots. They have to see what year the prototypes were released.

From now on, they'll be only editing it, but the layout and the terrain would mostly be the same (from what I understand).
