defo not true. The guest thingy is defo cult related in some way. While yeah it could have been turned into a tradition over the years you gotta take in the fact the town WAS controled by the cult at some point.

so what i think happened that RB residents didnt really know about the cult other them a few selected people (the historian probably knew) and once the cult was gone they continued with the worship unknowingly and turned it into a tradition

then i think the golden apple corp took over and is just everywhere in the town. the posters. them turning this ''festival'' and guest into a marketable mascot

only food sourced by the towns people is by golden apple corp as well

would explain why they all look so unhealthy
