That's not at all what Nikita said, they're not planning to have zero UI elements, just as least as possible, if something can be shown environmentally then they will do that instead of UI.

Having no UI at all would be crazy. The game has to communicate some things to the player. I assume there will be as much diagetic UI as possible, basically making UI look or be part of world elements.

In theory console porting mainly just consists of optimizing graphics for console, remapping input for the controllers and changing the save system to include a console friendly format, so it shouldn't in fact take too much effort or time, problem being that with HN2 it was done with a small team, in the middle of development hell.

Of course additional testing goes on top of that and fixing console specific bugs that can occur.

Still, I'd be surprised if HN3 didn't end up being on any console, especially Xbox.

tbh after seeing the style from HN1 leading up to HN3 now you can really see Nikita's artstyle really expand out and stuff like that I think it's really cool seeing the style evolve from being cartoony and joyful to something dark and gritty

i think i talked about this before, but something that really made me wonder for like a second was the fact that there's a reoccurring design choice in a lot of the hn3 characters. its the fact that they always wear one glove. this goes for jacob, the guest (?) and the older design for the neighbor in the timelapse
