I saw a Prototype 3 gameplay teaser, which means they're working on Prototype 3, so Prototype 2 must be finished. The next thing they're going to do is make Devlog 3.
When they finish working on that, they might release Prototype 2 at the same time as Devlog 3 (same as they did with Devlog 2 and Prototype 1).
In Devlog 3, they might introduce new mechanics and other features.
(I'm just trying to think what they'll do next.)

They must be introducing the butterfly effect in Prototype 3, which is what they're working on right now.
I heard Nikita say that Prototype 3 will have the butterfly effect.

But it's just a theory.
So I have high hopes for it.

Well, with HN2 it was slightly different as Nikita didn't have plans to change the game as much as it did, but things happened, and yeah. (Although the AI trailer contained a lot of promises that were basically only concepts at that point so that's kind of on them)

With HN1 though, it was really mostly tinyBuild's fault, they advertised the game's old builds knowing well that the game is at a much later stage in development already and doesn't look like that anymore.

They announced the game with the prototype trailer when alpha 2 was already pretty much done.

#

But yeah, it's good that they're not just pumping out pretty trailers for the game, and showcasing step by step how they're developing it and how it looks like.

#

And it wasn't really just the trailers, they could've just been more open and honest about removing certain features from HN2 and avoided a lot of backlash because of it, but oh well. At least with HN3 they're more open about the development and aren't making any promises that they can't fulfill.

I would also like to see in the player's interface an icon of the NPC's relationship to the player when hovering over the NPC. You can make it in the form of a simple smiley face (let's say the same raven, if you like his vibe so much, or else), although I would take the attributes from the logo. (Butterfly is positive, rabbit is neutral, snake is aggressive).

Early Spring is such a specific time period which doesn't really allow for anything that would fit in.
