#TLD50 vs Tyrnos

Tyrnos Holds more line
And is heavier
Made of die cast aluminium Not Graphite
Tld50ii has more drag though
Have you caught a shark before @fringe wigeon
Do you have knowledge of how to handle sharks once you catch them
How’re you going to get it up the jetty
Once it’s up there what are you going to do with it cause you can’t release it if it’s cliff gaffed
Do you know how to process a big shark
These are all things you need to have planned out
You could walk it to the end of the jetty but it’s not always that simple
Stick to beaches probably
i know how to dehook a shark and the jetty has stairs that go down to the water
im doing catch and release
Yeah but have you handled sharks before
Is what I am asking
good luck pulling a shark up to the stairs around everyone lol
i have caught small gummy shark on spinning setups and small overhead reels
and im doing catch and release so i don't need to worry about filleting and killing the shark
Gummy shark are nothing like a bull shark
You can’t just pick a bull shark up an unhook it
Going to be even harder with a 1.5m+ shark on a packed jetty
It’d be good to get experience first
Are you going after bulls or bronzies?
I suppose all the stuff is interchangeable
My point is you should learn how to handle actual sharks properly before you go chasing monster
Out of curious how will you be getting your bait out?
if im doing it off a beach i will use a kayak to get to out
its a 6 foot rolled rod
Yeah you’ll need a pretty calm day
How will you do it off a pier
Baloon it?
You need a good wind tho
What species shark are you targeting?
yes
And what size bracket?
i want something that can deal with many species of fish
Yeah no but like
What species of shark
Is in your area
That you will targeting
Dusky shark and Bronze sharks
Cool
Yeah I’d definitely look into getting onto some smaller models first
Just so you can practice dehooking and releasing
That’s way you aren’t fucking around when you get a big one on and people at crowding you
Do you have a fighting belt?
yes
Good
Yeah bro honestly between the tld50 and the tyrnos 50 ig its personal preference on how you want to fight the fish
Tld has more drag but tyrnos holds more line
They both hold plenty of line so it’s up to you
Are you going to spool all braid or a top shot
braid and a top shot
Cool
do you have any tips on ballooning a bait
In what aspect
Would probably be better to watch a video
As long As you’ve got a good wind you should be right that’s like the main thing
Still need a calm day too
i know you can do it but i don't know how too
You’d be better off watching a video tbh
alr
Just make sure the video isn’t on LBG livebait skipping and Just on ballooning
Using helium balloons to skip livies is a totally different method
Anything big and dead
Match the bait to the size of the shark
If your paddling baits doesn’t hurt to throw in some burley too
would a whole squid work?
Not well
You want to use big whole dead fish
Or stingray wings
i seen people use snapper frames would they work
