The only lever drag level wind reel i can think of off the top of my head is a shimano charter special

#

Any particular reason you don’t want a star drag @rapid carbon

I mean

#

Not necessarily

#

The time it’s take you to go from loose to locked on a star drag vs a lever drag reel wouldn’t even be 1.5 seconds

#

And I’d argue you can more precisely adjust your drag with a star drag

#

Up to you though tbh

#

Should get shimano tld reel

#

Not Level wind but that’s not a huge issue

#

What will you be using the reel for?

Then why go so heavy

#

It the reel only has so much drag

#

If it were for abrasion I could understand it but if it’s open water I don’t see the point if a reel only had 15kg of drag max

#

Also the charter special reels are designed for mono as far as I am aware

#

They hold ~450m of 65lb power pro (shimano brand) braid though iirc

#

Honestly the heaviest I’d go on one is 50lb

I’d definitely not get a level wind reel tbh

#

I’d get something like a penn fathom ii

#

Something heavier duty

#

Level winds are convenient but they can burn out

#

You can still absolutely land the fish but yeah no I’d go with a heavier duty reel

#

do you have any recommendations

Also a 1.5m fish isn’t a really good indicator, a 1.5m marlin is going to fight harder than a 1.5m mulloway for example

Go to a tackle shop and ask around

#

Research what species are in your area and go from there
