I would love to see Sordland introduce natural disasters. We dont really see much weather or climate patterns, and I'm thankful atleast we have environmental problems to solve it. I think it is a good opportunity to introduce it because it gives alot of better dynamics in the game because it would also apply additional pressure.
I have a set of proposals that can be realistically applied. The first proposal is a randomly generated event. It can be any form of disaster such as a storm, tsunami/storm surge, earthquake/fissures, volcanic eruption and ashfall, forest fires, hailstorm, etc. This randomness gives alot of dynamics on how we would apply policies. For example, a storm would definitely be damaging on agriculture while a volcano eruption will be damaging on health. In this case, ministries and advisors will propose according to what is practical in managing the crisis.
Second proposal is about ideological trigger. Tsunamis for example will ravage Agnland if you become too communist. Volcanic eruption in Gruni will happen if you become too capitalist. Earthquakes and fissures in Bergia will happen if you become too Sollist or anti Blud.
Third proposal is by using the [Hard resources] as a special trigger for the natural disasters. The hard resources will trigger additional dialogues for the player to choose what type of disaster Sordland frequently experiences. This means, more budget calibration for expert players and provides additional challenge/achievements.
