#Planning charter. Ideas?

I'd love to know too, I'm planning to get em in the near future.
Depends on what ur purpose is for running charters
It can be used for few different purposes
I would suggest utilising a few days just researching routes that an A330neo would be capable of flying.
Mostly, just a different mechanic of the game to spice things up. Mostly income related, but a side of xp and contribution. I'm not so worried about contribution though because I don't take being top tier a serious goal. I like to just have fun
Any recommendations on hubs to look at besides DFW? I don't really know enough about charter mechanics to plan how many "cycles". I'd like to stay on roughly 12 hours maybe 5 days but I don't know what that's called if that makes sense
I don't plan to start charter until I have the money to immediately buy 10 upgraded a330s
I have the points, and fuel/CO2 to support it
Charter demand resets every week unlike PAX demand.
Once you depart a charter plane you can not recall it.
You can't configure a Charter plane for first class.
You cant keep your legs on different boat, you may end up sinking
Focus on one thing
You actually can 😉
Well from aeitalias guide it seems like two major routes, income vs XP farming. I'm not concerned with xp farming. So I guess income
You can earn money and XP..... Or you can focus on contributions
Money can be easily earned by pax planes so its just better to focus either on CD or XP
I don't see a huge benefit for me for xp farming. I'm not really in a rush to get anywhere
I guess the money and XP is my desire than as opposed to contribution
I'm not a serious alliance person to want a contribution based goal
If you want a brief summary of charter I would highly recommend reading Æs guide on it.
You will only know good charter hubs if you research them.
Yeah I've read it a few times, I just didn't know if there's some meta hubs everyone recommends out of the gate
X hub may be good for the A342s but may not be good for the A330neos
Make sure to have a bit more money as you would need to make charter hubs
So if you do a 12 hour route. You select cycles? Like say 10, which is roughly 5 days?
How much does a charter hub cost? The same as buying a hub in the first place?
Yes
And do all the charter planes depart at once? Like can I buy a plane, set up the route etc and then wait until I've set up all 10 planes to depart?
5000 for first hub, 4mil increase Every time from 2 second hub
Yes
And in the most basic sense, you're making sure there's demand on each route, to handle say 10 flights
Charter is basically autodepart.
The cycles are how many times the game will depart the plane.
Is there a way to figure out charter demand on routes before unlocking it?
Research tab
And I imagine you need more demand than just 10 cycles for example, since they would arrive before the demand has reset
Since if it's say 5 days, you'd have to depart a second time within 7 days
20 flights.
Charter demand resets every week so you would need enough demand for 2 departures.
Yes
Got it got it
When they land you can either depart them or ground them
I use 4x6 cycle per week
Just a heads up though.
You might need a couple of charter hubs for 20 A330neos
You might have to find routes in the range ( without stopover) of the plane
Yeah I'll have to do some steady research. I'd be doing 10 to start. I appreciate the insight
I'll probably save a solid 1.5b or so, to be able to afford the planes, hubs and routes out of the gate
Also make sure to depart the charter planes when you have a full tank of fuel
It takes the 5 day cycle all at once right?
I guess I have to do the math to make sure I could afford the fuel and CO2 plus my current fleet before I buy 10 charter planes
And I can't buy a339s before I unlock charter right? They're separate models to purchase?
As hubs, I recommend FCO, JFK, CDG, YUL,DXB
Buy the B781 is cheaper than the A330-9 and it brings in almost the same profit.
Any idea if the price of a charter a330-9 is the same as pax 110k? And do you know what the SFC upgrade cost is?
I dont remember the exact cost of the upgrades correctly but it was somewhere between $15M and $22.5M.
Yes
Say you do all upgrades on the A330neo and fly them on routes in the interval 11,000km and 12,000km then you would need a fuel storage of 21M to safely depart the planes without having to buy fuel again just to depart a few planes.
They said you were the man, and now I say it too 😎
Looks like I would need like 60m CO2 reserve to fly them, that's hefty! I guess I'd just fly them on a different time then my normal am or pm departures
You don't need to worry about Co2 storage.
Co2 is always relatively cheaper than Fuel.
You can just depart your planes at say your normal morning departure. They will land after 5 days ( can change depending on cycle ) a few minutes earlier given that you have CI-ed them close to 12 hours.
Also with the first flight remember to log how many hours have been taken of the a-check counter.
Suppose it takes off 100 hours then you would need to acheck the plane when it reaches 100 hours and not when it reaches the red.
$route katl spim a320-200

Funny slayz!
I was multitasking too fast and made myself look like doof. 😂
Will I have to pay 1500 or more points every month to renew charter???
No
You pay 1500 to unlock charter and then after 3 months you have to pay 600 to renew your license every month
