Yeah for sure it's a good mentality to have and I've had to internalize that a lot just due to life circumstances.

Main problem I have now is that I've spent so much time and effort, working 70+ hour weeks teaching myself + working to support myself through college(debt free!) + working on my employability + doing extracurriculars and competitions like CCDC + working on my degree.

And now I'm like... here and I've got just about everything I've worked for at this point.

Harvester is great cause it's using kubernetes for orchestration and kubevirt but you don't need to touch kubernetes ever and it works out of the box unlike proxmox

With proxmox you have to change out the repos and shit which is annoying in my opinion

If you end up scaling your homelab in my opinion harvester can be better especially if you don't want a centralized Nas since kubernetes would handle the scheduling in the background and longhorn is a self healing storage solution

But for things like containers you can't do in harvester and you'd have to do them in rancher which is a completely separate service for kubernetes and you'd have to deploy a few kubernetes nodes for it in harvester or a separate machine(s)

if i remember right, there was an old exploit where you could create a new user, give yourself admin, then change the pw of another user, then just log in as them
